This year I decided to try my hand at raising money for the Bungie Foundation fundraiser. Last October my son had to get surgery to correct a malformation behind his eye and it didn't go perfect. He had some blood get into the fluid around his brain during the surgery, he formally had a stroke at the age of 16 months. We were super fortunate and everything came through and he has suffered no damage or injury.

When the fundraiser was announced I really wanted to try to help out. We were lucky enough to receive benefits from the Ronald McDonald house and though we couldn't contribute a lot after our stay, I was hoping I could help raise enough for the next family's stay. And huzzah I did! Various people read my son's story and helped me reach my goal. As of this post, 28 people have raised $5,000 or more!

I post this because you don't need to be a big name to help. My co-workers chipped in, family members helped, friends posted my page on their social media and it made an impact on my fundraising efforts. Even players in the community donated to my page, people I've never interacted with. So thank you! I appreciate the connection you may have had with my son's story and helping with raising money. It goes an incredibly long way for making an overwhelming experience just a bit more manageable
