[2021] Renting server from developer or third party

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with renting server's from the devs.

Ideally I'd like to support the dev team and also I would expect their service to run smoother since they can optimize better ?

Also, does anyone know if its possible to extract the "saves" of the world to switch service providers if I would become dissatisfied with service ? I don't have high hopes but you never know.

Cloud Worlds are only available for Developer Tier users, as they are in beta. They are made with classroom usage in mind - that applies to performance and capabilitites. You cannot change world size on them nor mod them, for example.

I have asked the web team to prepare a FAQ about this for the website, given many people lately asked. The page actually was meant to be part of the educational page, but this seems to have been misunderstood.
