Me and my wife played Eco years ago back in January 5th of 2020. Its a wonderful game and we wanted to get back into it. When we played previously we played just the two of us in a small world run by a spare computer. we don't have the tech or know how to run a server so we are planning on joining a random server.

Our play time will most likely be several hours every other day. Depending on work load we may play during the day as well. On our server we did not need to specialize because we made the stars plentiful. I imagine on a normal server this won't be the case. so a question!

Me and my wife plan to share resources and develop our land together. In this case which jobs should we focus on in order to complement each other well while continuing to be helpful to the servers success? I personally enjoy mining so I would like to do jobs related to that and she thinks she might like to hunt but is flexible since she doesn't remember alot from what we played. just a general idea of what jobs go well together is good because I plan to research the jobs we pick so we know what we are doing when we join.

any good general advice for eco server newbies joining a sever for the first time?

Anybody on a slower passed server looking for a power couple to join? XD we'd like to get started today!

TLDR: two people who have only played just the two of them want to join an Eco Server. what should they each specialize in? anything they should know about eco servers before joining? anybody looking for two newbies to join their server? we would like to get started playing again today!

Any advice would be server specific because each has different rules about how groups of friends interaction. I've played on servers that didn't have any rules and I've played on some that forced friends to sign up as a company through a mod they included on the server.

Each server may have different needs if you choose to join late (after day 2 or so) but generally you can always play what you want just be prepared to compete with other players. Professions that complement mining would be smelting, basic engineering, mason, or mechanics. You don't necessarily need to complement each other though because on a server all roles will be filled by someone. If you want to optimize though, any profession that uses rocks or metal is a given.

I smell White-Tiger there, lol.
