I'd file this under bug report if I didn't have proof it was griefing.
Spent the better part of the day on a new server, learning the ropes. Tonight a group joins and decides to start planting signs like the one in the image below all over the map. This resulted in everyone seeing huge black lines covering their screens. I was only able to find 3-4 of them after turning my level of detail settings all the way down. Eventually it got to the point where it was so bad that the server just shut down.
I don't know if there is anything to be done, but it's a really sour taste to put in someone's mouth during their first 10+ hours in game...
