[2022] Do the licenses bought on website have to use steam?

No, the licenses on our website do not require Steam but allow linking to Steam. We do not have an autoupdater on our website though, so if a new version releases you need to redownload the new version of the game. We might want to make a autoupdater in the future, but there is no current plans to do so.
