This is a big doozy.

Came back to playing after nearly a year because my gaming PC developed a (still undiagnosed) fault rendering it unusable for most tasks (some bit of hardware is damaged and I don't have spares for every suspect component to figure it out) and decided to run ED on an old laptop that (maybe) can run Horizons at low graphics?

Doesn't matter how the game runs (seems to run decently, actually), but the problem is...

My input controls are BLANK. And that's literally the ONLY preset available to select, too.

It's so bad, I cannot navigate the game menus with anything but an Xbox controller. Cursor selection follows the mouse cursor, but clicking does... nothing. None of the keyboard keys or chords do anything at all, except Alt+F4.

I thought at first it might be because I was using the local data directory from when I last played (thank you, backup solutions!) but it doesn't appear to have anything but the various journal logs and player status .json snapshots that various third party data mining tools (EDDiscovery/ED Market Connector) use, so I've held off from deleting those files for now.

As it is, the game is literally unplayable unless I just try to come up with an ad-hoc control scheme on my own (if it'll even save one!) I tried both Odyssey and Horizons, and encountered this issue in both cases. I haven't tried the legacy base game yet, but I don't believe at this point that would help.

I just want my defaults back.

Hey CMDR,

What you could do is head to C:\users\%username%\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\EliteDangerous\Options\Bindings and delete the entire Bindings folder.

Restart the game again and a new Bindings folder will be generated and you should have the default key binds back.
