I have been inactive for a while and I decided to get back into the game, but every time I try to start the game the launcher does nothing, the play button comes back and it crashes. I did some research and found others have had this problem but nothing I have done has worked. Here is a list of things I have tried to do:
Validate game files via steam and launcher.
Start the game through going into the game files and running EliteDangerous64.exe
Whitelisting the files EliteDangerous64.exe and Watchdog64.exe on my anti virus software
Making sure my GPU drivers were up to date
Resetting my .NET framework
The only thing I haven't tried is messing with the VISUAL C++ REDISTRIBUTABLES as I did not feel comfortable deleting files I do not understand.
If anyone knows anything or has any advice it would be a huge help, thank you!
