Tons of crashes since today's update

I usually find Elite: Dangerous a remarkably stable game.

Today I have crashed:

• opening the Galaxy map,
• entering supercruise,
• taking a high-res screenshot

That's more than I'd usually crash in 6 months! I wonder if recent update has anything to do with it, or if that's a coincidence.
