FPS drop in VR odyssey after exiting and re-entering ship.

Hey all. My fps in ship in vr is fine. I exit the ship on foot and it is still fine (in all it's horrible flat screen 'glory').

Then I reenter my ship, and suddenly my FPS is halved. I leave the ship and the FPS remains poor.

Sometimes it'll go away after I jump a few systems. Sometimes if I tab out. Sometimes I have to go to menu.

Anyone have any clues? I'm using a quest 3 using steamlink. I have very good WiFi and my system is smooth until this happens.

I tried using a link cable but it made no difference.
