[2021] Epic Games launcher "Update Required"

Hello!

I have had trouble with the Epic Games Launcher and Elite dangerous. So everything is fine up until I link my frontier account with my epic games account. I link it and then when the Elite Dangerous launcher opens it says I need to update it.

I have done some research and tried to troubleshoot but to no avail.

This is what I have tried :

Verified files on Epic Games

Restarted Computer

Restarted Epic Games Launcher

Unlinked Epic Games account from frontier and relinked it

Checked for Steam accounts associated with my frontier account (was none)

Made a new gmail address to make a new frontier account to link that instead

But no matter what I do I am told I need an update but I checked the Elite Dangerous news and it seems there are no updates this morning correct me if I am wrong and verifying does nothing.

Any help would be appreciated as I would love to just fly around a space ship right now.
