[2022] Steam opens “Elite dangerous: arena” instead of elite dangerous. I need kinda help

A friend of mine bought about 2 weeks ago a gaming laptop so he can play elite dangerous in VR. He normally plays it on the ps4 but it doesn’t support the VR, thats why he switched to the laptop. Now here is the problem: every time when he launches elite Dangerous in his library, it automatically opens elite Dangerous:arena and he didn’t even downloaded the arena version. He upgraded his laptop to windows 11, so if anyone knows how to deal with it, we would appreciate it.
