[2021] Launcher Troubles

Good Day,

want to know if anyone has been through this. Yesterday i bought the game Elite Dangerous with the Odyssey expansion through the epic games store. since then I've been battling to even open the game. From blocking the launcher with a "update required" when there doesn't seem to be any update available. To not letting me log in to my linked account cause i have to "Purchase / Redeem" the Game I just bought. I've reached out to frontier support but its been the better part of a day and it might take about 24h from estimates i read.

Thought perhaps someone went through this and found a fix, or if i should request a refund from epic games and try my luck on some other platform.
