I bought the game on Epic store, I played it without any major problems except my faulty hardware (it crashes almost every day) and my crappy internet connection (4Mbps).

I was able to download updates since alpha, first with the game's launcher (not epic), then with Epic launcher after official launch.

Now with update 8 I had the update finished (or almost finished, not sure), only to get the error message above, I contacted epic support, they told me to do what I already did checking their knowledge base (remove all startup programs and restart, just in case I also stopped all processes I didn't need and stopped the antivirus), then I was told to reinstall the client, that also uninstalled the game itself, so I had to download 70GB again, after 2 days waiting, I got again the same error message.

After this second failure I tried opening the game without the update, it was possible right-clicking the epic launcher from the tray icon, the launcher opened and showed me the UPDATE button, so I'm now downloading again.

This time I'll probably move my pc to a relative nearby that have a connection 10-20 times faster than mine, hopefully this time it will work.
