Yeah, having a couple issues, and at this point, I just want to vibe out in my space game.
Every time I start the ED launcher, it tells me that it 'needs an update'. I follow the instructions (set it to high prio, restart steam, cross fingers), and nothing happens. I verify the game, and it realizes "oh sh*t yeah there's nothing here" (37k files were unavailable or whatever and will be reacquired.) The first time was somewhat expected, I'd just jumped ship onto a new PC (and Windows 11) since the old one had just died, and some corrupted files could be there. So, I let it finish the update - before I was given the option to upgrade to Horizons. I thought everyone already HAD horizons, and just thought "it'll probably just port my saves over to the new version". 30 minutes later, and it was still "preparing for update". Attempting to uninstall Legacy Horizons in the ED launcher brought me back to "requiring an update". So, I fully un-and-reinstalled the game from Steam, and it put me back to the Legacy Horizons upgrade situation. Is there any fix?
