[2022] Very long load times

Especially the transitions from foot to the ship after boarding, several minutes sometimes. And during the loading times the game is still "live", meaning that if I'm trying to make a daring escape from on foot to the ship with NPCs shooting at me, I'm still being shot during the black screen, while unable to move or do anything during the loading. It's incredibly frustrating and it's been going on for a long time now.

What could be causing this? I'm suspecting that this problem is on my end, because with this new PC I've been using for the past weeks, the problem has been consistent, but it never happened before that. Also hyperjumps take forever, sometimes going into supercruise has a massive delay too. I don't get it. I opened a ticket with Frontier Support but it looks like they closed it without responding.
