[2022] An opinion on flight assist, auto dock and a wish.

I have thousands of hours in game. I’ve been at it since 2014. And I’ve always manually landed. Always flown in super cruise myself. Because this is a flight sim right? I should be flying my ship.

However I’ve reached a point in my play where I want to cut out the mundane. And automating super cruise helps loads with that. And auto docking is neat and quite nice. I guess I’m a convert I’m certainly glad these options exist in game.

And this leads me onto what seems like the logical next step of automated multiple hyperspace jumps. I know the taxi service essentially provides this but it would be nice to do it in our own ships. I don’t see why it can’t be another module, another option for players.
