[2021] Odyssey not working, need help.

I recently got Odyssey but for some reason I can't even play it. What's happening is this, I launch the game through steam, the launcher comes up, I pick Elite Dangerous: Odyssey and the game loads up fine. However when I'm in the main menu (where it says Start, Social, Options etc) the Start button doesn't work. It's not greyed out or anything but when I click it the main menu flashes away but then comes back. I'm stuck at the main menu and can't actually get into the game. Anyone got any idea on how I can fix this?

Edit: I can get into Horizons perfectly fine, I saw a post saying it could be the decals on your ship so I removed them but the issue is still there.
