[2023] i just got the game on steam the other day when it was on sale and it keeps showing me this when i try to log in with the account I made, I have no clue how to "redeem" the game

Nowadays this means that you're logging into an account that doesn't have Elite Dangerous game access. You'll most likely need to link your account to Steam.
