0s Hi, I'm Linda. I'm a software developer at Elvenar.
5s I've been with InnoGames for 5  years now. 4 of them are together with Elvenar.
16s One special thing for me is that I started,  actually, as a student, so it's called the InnoMaster program
23s so I basically studied computer  science - well like I took the master's program in
29s computer science and was with Innogames simultaneously to get some practice,
35s and I decided to stay. So I've been now for 3  years or 2 years full-time at Elvenar. I'm usually
44s more working on the mobile side of things, so I'm  responsible for the Elvenar apps, while also like
52s helping out here and there for other technical  aspects in the background such as backend work
57s or some production things that requires some  programming and yeah I had my hands on
65s a lot of features of Elvenar so if you're playing the  mobile client there's a good chance that I added
72s here and there stuff that you already touched - like the most prominent things are probably
78s the Pet Buildings or The Cauldron, the Builder  Bonus, Spire, Fellowship Perks - yeah I've been there
86s all and I yeah greatly enjoyed implementing those  features. I usually enjoy like the whole ecosystem
94s of game development, so it's a super complex  topic with have a lot of collaboration there,
100s but it's basically also the collaboration on new  features on bringing new features and content to
105s the client of Elvenar that I enjoy the most.  Like for example we introduced Prosperity
113s during Chapter 21 and this might seem like  a small feature, but the road leading to
120s it is quite a complex process so it's  not only programming for me it's also like
127s interacting with other components of Elvenar, having close collaboration with the
132s other developers, with artists with, game designers  and yeah in the end it's a team effort and also
139s like this collaboration effort is part of my  work that I really enjoy. what I maybe struggle
145s a little bit with or where I'm challenged  the most is dealing with the different
150s platforms. So as you might know we have the apps  published to several stores. We have Amazon, we have
159s Google and we have of course the Apple iOS store  and each of the platforms are coming with their
165s own audities and task that you have to fulfill and  the actual pipeline going from building the app
172s to publishing them to players is quite long, and  a lot of technologies are involved and you will
178s have to really research what is your need, what are  the requirements to be able to make a sufficient
186s pipeline that basically publishes on a regular  basis to players without really having a hassle to
194s development teams. But yeah, that's kind  of challenging and I try to come up with it, but
200s yeah sometimes you really have to invest a lot of  time to catch up with the newest things happening.
