You would need to give more info than that. GPU and CPU specs fully as well.
But it sounds more of another issue. Maybe run some tests with your system hardware usage and see what exactly happens when the game is about to freeze. RAM spike, CPU spike, etc.
Try to reinstall the game and also make sure to create a support ticket as well.

To be honest with you, you just need to upgrade your system. 2 GB graphics card is just not strong enough for current games. Your card is also 9 years old. Same with your processor. There isn't really any fix for this but to upgrade to a more recent and stronger system.

Not really actually. If your system is bottlenecked by other hardware, any additional RAM is the same as the previous.
Plus, you would need a better DDR RAM and your current 32 GB would not be the one. So, I would actually wait to build a new one than buying more RAM. When it comes to RAM, there is more to it than the GB size.
