Hello Lumia Island survivors!
Today's Dev Journal will cover Forging and ER Pass!

Playing Eternal Return is all about the thrill of a good fight, but sometimes after a few matches of being fully focused on your game, you might need a little break. That's when you'll want to visit our new Forging station!

You can find two types of boxes in the Forging menu.
As you play more, you'll naturally start getting Research Center Data Boxes through different paths. You can also get them as an ER Pass reward (including free items), as well as when you level up your account, and when you complete daily missions at an established probability. They can also be obtained through ER events!

<Receiving a Data Box as a Daily Mission Reward>

When you open a Research Center Data Box, you'll be randomly rewarded with a variety of prizes, including characters, skins, skin designs, emotes, tombstones, surveillance cameras and drone skins, lobby screens, and more!

A Research Center Data Box can contain up to 4 items.

You can always see a clear list of the items that are included in every box, along with the probability of getting them.

If you're lucky, you can earn characters and skins through the Research Center Data Box just by playing a lot.
Meanwhile, the Skin Data Box, a more exclusive box that can be purchased or obtained through the ER Pass, will randomly give you a full skin or a skin design from the skins featured in Eternal Return. Among these, skin designs can be crafted into skins or disassembled in our Forging station.

The Skin Data Box contains up to 2 skins or designs.

If you're lucky enough, you can also get some skins that aren't available in Store. Stay tuned for skins ranging from Summertime Sua to Wilson Bakery Sissela!
(Some exclusive skins, including Cadet skins are not included.)

You can also see a separate list of the items that can come out of the Skin Data Box, along with their probabilities.

Both Research Center Data Boxes and Skin Data Boxes can be opened with a Data Key. Data Keys can be obtained through different missions and the ER Pass, and they can also be purchased!
Lastly, we have the Daily Box, which can only be purchased once a day with A-Coin. You can get random items that you can use in the Forging station, such as a Research Center Data Box, Data Key, NP, or Data Fragment.

Skins obtained from boxes are ready to be worn, but skin designs must be crafted in the Forging station before they become complete skins. In order to make a design into a skin, you'll also need Data Fragments.

Data Fragments can also be obtained through ER Passes and by leveling up your account, but you can actually obtain more of them by disassembling skins or designs in Forging.

In addition to Data Fragments, you can also get Season Tokens as a bonus when you disassemble a Skin. This season you can obtain Vacances tokens through disassembling items and also as a Season Pack and ER PASS reward. You can use them to purchase special items that are only available during this season in the Exchange station. Exchange will feature special skins that are only available there, and a few skins that are not currently available in Store. The items in Exchange will rotate every season.

Alongside the new Forging feature, we're also revamping the ER Pass!
The old ER Passes were not intuitive because the amount of free fun was little and only distinguished by the FREE marker.

We've now expanded our list of free items and clearly distinguished them from paid ones, making it a little more rewarding for players to play for free and making the benefits of purchasing more distinguishable.

Missions in the ER Pass are also better distinguished between normal missions and those that are unlocked after a purchase.

We've also increased the total number of skins available with the ER Pass to 5. The Season 1's ER Pack will include 3 Season's Concept Skins as usual, but in addition to that, you'll also get 2 special skins!
Among the Season's Concept Skins, the level 50 reward, Tropical Runway Mai, will be added as a free item, meaning it can be obtained by simply playing the game without purchasing the ER Pass!

ER Passes are playable for two seasons after their release. The Season 1 ER Pass will be playable until Season 2, and past ER Passes will no longer be redeemable. Past ER Pass rewards will be included either in Data Boxes or Exchange, so stay tuned for Forging in case you missed any skin!
The next Dev Journal will be about the 4th Update for Characters. Stay tuned for more!
Thank you!
