The new jump animations do look fantastic and they will return! However the the issue with the jump cloak timer was not intended and can have a significant effect on gameplay in certain circumstances. We need to address that.

The zoom on the planet is supposed to be showing what bad sharpening looks like :grinning:

…to illustrate the type of issue that can occur when sharpening is applied incorrectly. There is artifacting at the edge of the planet, the gradient has lost its smoothness and the surface of the planet is starting to look too pixelated.

There was a problem with the moon image in the devblog. It seemed that the dimensions / zoom went a bit wrong. We’ve replaced it with a better version. Thanks for flagging it :grinning:

The Clear Vision update to EVE Online is now live, featuring big graphical improvements to a number of key elements across New Eden!

The update includes ongoing enhancements to the Jita IV structures such as the Communication/Science station and Mining Center, plus new graphical effects in jump tunnels for travel between certain types of location in New Eden, as well as Contrast Adaptive Sharpening (CAS) from AMD, a process that brings even further clarity and immersion to moon surfaces, ship hulls and more.

Hi
Thanks for flagging.
I’ve just tested with and without CAS, and it’s very similar with it disabled:

I’d love to see higher resolution textures in the future :grinning:
