232s hotfix that we recently launched we're
235s also going to be discussing a couple of
239s details pertaining to
241s the road to 1.0
244s we're not doing any like teasers I don't
246s wanna I don't want you guys to have the
247s wrong expectation there but I do want to
249s let you in a little bit on like where
251s we're at where our focus is the
254s importance of feedback which is very
255s much still valid and you know that kind
258s of General
259s stuff then we're going to be going into
261s Cato Palace which are right outside here
263s we're going to be doing that side
264s mission I'm going to be doing a rift 400
266s Legacy lunacy uh run and then we'll have
270s screenshots to follow that's that's on
273s the docket for today that is how we are
275s bringing it to fruition

305s so the very first thing that we are
308s going to be discussing here
311s is the hotfix that launched I want to
314s talk a little bit on that I've had a
316s couple of conversations because of DMS a
320s couple Forum posts
321s there's been a number of little things
323s that have come up and I feel like it
325s just needs to be addressed here
329s this hotfix
331s it's it's the last it's the last one
333s it's we're done that's it
337s complete everything's final
340s and there's no more plans for any major
344s updates
345s from now until full release
348s the hotfix that we were able to push out
350s it was not planned
353s I think there might have been a little
354s bit of confusion uh about what that
358s drop looked like why we dropped it we
361s never have an expectation where we like
364s need to do a hotfix like that's a
366s hotfixes
367s supplied because it is needed
371s for game breaking something's occurring
375s and uh look at all these terrible
376s drivers so

381s this hotfix it was not something where
383s we were like oh yeah well we didn't have
385s enough time to plug in these details
387s that we really wanted for the patch
391s the hotfix
395s namely went after those memory leaks
398s we had several reports from you guys
399s about the
401s item menus
403s where your computer was just like
406s getting full bodied into submission and
409s the game would ultimately crash or the
411s game would be unplayable
415s that's unacceptable
417s we can't uh we can't do that
419s we can't do that we're not gonna have
421s the last patch that we make to the game
424s before 1.0 unplayable
427s for a decent number of players
430s and technically it would be unplayable
432s for every single player if they
434s reproduce the steps to get the memory
435s leak accordingly so yeah it had to go
438s that's the main reason why the hotfix
441s was applied okay
443s in addition to that there were a number
445s of other elements to the hotfix
448s because after the Patch was applied we
451s were already taking feedback in from
453s users from the experimental of course
455s but also from the live update itself
457s because we were able to expand to our
459s other audiences uh more audiences I
461s should say
462s to uh hear what they had to say uh and
465s digest the problem areas of the game
467s right
468s so through that process we were able to
472s push a couple little balancing changes
474s in the hotfix as well okay we were able
477s to uh kind of make a couple subtle
480s adjustments to our liking just to like
485s tweak it up
487s a bit further none of the changes that
489s were applied were anything dire
493s no like overarching massive
496s restructurings of of you know
499s back-end systems or anything like that
501s everything from the HotBox hotfix and
503s you can see it in the patch notes it was
505s addressing like a couple little balance
506s changes here and there but primarily
508s again it was that memory leak that was
511s the big reason why we had to push that
514s out okay
517s so from here on out
520s there are again there's no plans for a
523s major update
524s there's no plans for any further hot
526s fixes
528s but this starts going into where
531s you are rather important in our process
533s of development
535s because from here on out
539s we will be discussing we'll be sharing
542s little tidbits of information
544s on our journey
546s two full release
550s your feedback with your game space like
554s what you have access to right now we're
556s still receiving that
558s what we have now is only just like what
560s a week's worth a couple of weeks worth
562s of feedback pertaining to the latest
564s update we know that's going to continue
566s develop we know there's going to be more
567s bugs we're not clueless to that

635s we have put our Focus towards the
638s missions as of right now

642s everything that will conclude the story
648s the story so far that's listed here
650s basically this will be done by 1.0
653s release no question about that the story
656s will be a hundred percent finalized I
658s want to make sure you guys understand
659s that through that process of course you
662s know with your observations at level 25
665s in the game experience and sort of
667s balancing that out
669s all of that
670s is in the pipe will not be changed
674s we also want to bring forth a couple of
678s other elements maybe you guys don't know
680s about I've seen this question starting
681s to come up more frequently than not and
683s just you know so you know we are fully
686s planning to have achievements
688s we're fully planning to have uh like the
692s trading cards in Steam you know the fun
697s stuff that's over there and there might
699s be more because like with everspace one
701s if you look at what we did on that front
703s we did also have a couple emojis we also
705s had some background wallpapers it's
707s possible that we go that direction as
709s well so when the game hits 1.0 that's
712s when you're gonna see all of those

944s we have to fix an exploit

988s go especially for the uh the Casual

993s probably do the most Justice at like

1003s things for that style of feedback for
1005s that great amount of care and skill
1010s as we just continue to move forward into

1040s about this January that's probably going
1042s to be closer to uh the 1.0 release
1045s itself uh you know maybe a a month in

1096s the hotfix that we established again
1099s that was done because it was necessary
1102s so that we didn't bar certain members of
1105s the player base from being able to play
1107s the game okay that would suck if we had
1111s no further updates
1113s where you literally couldn't participate
1115s that's the intent behind the hotfix
1118s a hotfix looks very different from an
1120s update because the update is truly
1122s adding a bunch of new content right
1124s that's adding a lot of that delicious
1127s meaty enjoyment of new ships or enemies
1131s or items or side missions or all that
1133s type of stuff that's what comes in like
1135s a full-blown patch
1137s and we have no more major update patches
1142s between now and full release so
1146s I almost want you guys to like say it
1147s with me
1150s because I want to make sure everybody
1152s has heard me I don't want to see a
1155s single person
1156s ask this question on the Discord and if
1158s somebody's asking it right now uh
1161s that's clever but I hate you uh
1166s but no more planned updates between now
1170s and full release we will still be
1172s providing you with a lot of information
1173s as to the journey onward we'll still

2782s changes in that as well so like lower

2926s future jobs that you do there are
2928s increases to this right so you have a
2931s one where it's the credits earned from
2932s jobs are increased by 25 jobs will
2934s always reward an item we have Renown
2938s earned from jobs has increased by 10
2939s that gives you the little bit of a home
2941s stretch run from Elite Legend and then
2942s jobs will always reward an additional
2944s item so you top this off you will always
2946s guarantee you get two items from the job
2949s boards very very important if you're
2951s looking for a specific item you might
2954s just peruse through what's available at
2955s a local base and see oh it's got that
2958s one item that I've been looking for and
2960s boom bada bing you don't even have to
2962s pay for it you just get it through the
2964s job

2969s three deliveries using our ramen drones

2976s a filter from your payment
2978s Ramen drums I bet it's not even Ramen

3026s and it's also kind of fun to just test
3028s your knowledge of Prescott Starbase
3031s to try and get this Ramen delivered
3035s so these drones are very slippery you
3039s can't boost with them
3042s but the goal here is to deliver the
3045s ramen within a time period
3049s by staying inside of the designated area
3051s for like I think it's three seconds
3056s and you get paid more
3058s if you're faster about it
3067s so for some of you guys you're going to
3068s look at this and be like oh man this is
3070s a super easy Mission you just have to
3072s like navigate a little bit I'm really
3073s good at that and some of you are looking
3075s at this going no thank you I hate drones
3077s I hate slippery movements it's not my
3081s thing and that's it's great that's the
3082s joy of having multiple jobs available to
3085s you guys to do to uh satisfy keda's
3088s requirements to get on to the next

3107s it also said claim rewards because again
3109s we got those two items so uh something

3120s this is due to well a number of reasons
3122s but one of them is because your cargo
3124s hold might not be ready for it and uh we
3126s don't want to crash your game so you'll
3129s need to come to the mission chain and
3131s say Hey I want to claim my rewards now
3132s so we can just do that for all three of
3134s these now they're gone and then we also
3136s have these two jobs remaining uh to
3138s conclude uh we have Hitman Island you
3142s Hitman because I think this one's a good
3144s one to Showcase because it's a new
3145s addition to the game as well
3148s after we are done with this one we will
3150s jump into the uh remaining Kato mission
3157s and top it off

3162s Hitman the Hitman job was something that
3165s uh kind of Harkens back to everspace one
3167s a little bit uh in two ways one it's
3170s going towards the element of scanning
3173s which she did uh a bit of
3176s an average space one
3178s and it also Harkens back to the element
3180s of bounty hunting
3190s start the scanner
3196s so in the course of one of these
3198s missions sometimes the ships are all
3200s close together these guys are really far
3201s apart how dare
3204s well you have to get close enough for a
3206s scan it'll start doing the scan there's
3208s probably going to be a sound effects
3209s that's added to this in the future
3214s that was no match so we have to go scan
3216s one of these other ones
3218s and we are looking for our specific
3220s Target to annihilate
3225s scanning in progress
3230s just need to confirm the signature
3235s of course it's the last one
3238s it is not rigged to where it's always
3241s the last one so you guys are aware it is
3243s randomly applied to one of them
3246s just got really unlucky I've done this
3248s before where it's like the first one I
3249s scanned was it it's like yes that always
3251s feels good but there's like legitimately
3253s no way of knowing so you just have to
3256s just have to try

3265s that whenever you do these side missions
3268s these Hitman side missions it ticks off
3270s the oh car if it's in a protected
3272s location because you are taking out what
3274s are considered to be neutral targets

3287s complete two more side missions but I

4289s moves into the these will be really nice

4292s these would be exceptional to bring into
4295s the game Space if we get that out of

4302s we make there are certain elements that
4304s we thought were going to happen and we
4306s say this is going to take too much time
4307s for not enough of an impact in that game

4312s might uh notice some of those little
4315s things but I can assure you it's not
4317s because we are lacking the desire to do
4319s it it is anything but it's because we're
4322s evaluating our workflows because we're
4324s evaluating these deadlines at a certain
4326s point we have to say the game needs to
4327s be finished right so we're going to hit
4331s that 1.0 release date that we've got
4333s ironed out that we're looking towards
4335s from that point we've already said this
4338s before we are going to have free DLC
4340s that comes after the game because we do
4341s know there are certain desirables
4344s that we want to bring into the game
4347s they're not priority but they are
4349s desired we want to bring those into the
4351s game so we will be offering a free DLC
4353s after the full game is launched and then
4356s beyond that we also have plans for
4358s premium DLC content now that's kind of
4361s going beyond the stuff that we're
4362s currently working on but but still I
4364s digress

4369s kind of see where we're at how we're
4371s moving forward we have to hit these
4373s priority elements right we have to focus
4374s on that gameplay experience first we
4377s have to get the missions the storyline

4518s position to discuss and to highlight
4521s what the vision looks like for that 1.0

4827s it's not just that an item has entered
4830s the battle
4831s it's that this item and all of its
4834s coupled components whatever it does
4836s whatever ways it happens now has created
4839s many unique new
4842s opportunities
4844s for you to experience that hasn't
4847s probably been properly tested
4850s when you dive in through that early
4852s access format and you're like oh well
4854s that's what Early Access is all about I
4855s know what you're thinking I know what
4856s you're thinking the problem is is that
4858s now we're gonna have to rectify any
4860s issues surrounding that so by locking in
4863s even something as simple as like a
4864s little push we have to go into all right
4867s well we have to establish like the the
4868s release date for this little patch we
4871s have to establish the evaluation date
4873s from the community for this patch we've
4874s got to plan on a hotfix if it's needed
4877s for this patch then we have to keep our
4879s added eyes on this new little thing that

4886s time away from the content that we're
4888s working for the 1.0 release itself
4892s it's not so much a sacrifice we want to

4938s there is no level scaling anymore rather
4941s than just having enemies drop loot from

4948s is that we just wanted to have the
4949s players wait I said not really that's
4951s not that's not the answer the answer is
4953s the reason why we're doing that is we
4956s want the players to stay closer to the
4958s level that they're at so that you are
4960s engaging more or less with the
4962s challenges of your progression so what I
4965s mean by that is like if you're a level
4966s 11 and you're
4969s continuing to play in cedo over and over
4972s and over again we don't want you to
4975s continue building up the experience we
4977s want you to go to Union we want you to
4979s start doing the jobs in there we want
4980s you to start doing the missions in there
4981s once you start experiencing that new
4983s content you know that's that's the
4985s intended game structure so we don't want
4988s you to just hang out in Union and build
4990s yourself all the way up to level 25
4992s which has been done
4994s by at least one player that I know of
4996s it's possible to do by circumventing
4999s that particular system however that is
5002s not what we want to be any sense of
5005s normality when it comes to playing the
5007s game so that is why there is that
5010s restriction of four levels or more they
5014s do not provide experience they do not
5016s provide equipment if they are lower than
5019s you if they are higher than you however
5023s well there are still benefits
5027s cool Michael's just a little bit of the
5030s answer Hammer uh with regards no more
5033s updates until version one since it cost
5035s us two to four weeks to have proper in
5037s between uh releases while being able to
5039s finish the game in the meantime yeah and
5041s that's that's the that's the kind of
5043s like goings-on that I was talking about
5044s it like adds up so much like one little
5046s plush changes four weeks of development
5049s process like that's yeah we want to
5052s focus on 1.0 I appreciate that I Clarity

5227s quickly can you launch it shot after
5230s shot what's your DPS that's the most
5232s important your range also incredibly
5234s important we actually plug that in to
5236s the most important stats uh per
5238s Community request but also because we're
5239s like yeah that makes a total sense
5241s energy capacity consumption like these
5242s are the things that you must know in
5245s order for maximum opportunity of a
5249s weapon especially when you're comparing
5250s it to others
5252s does that mean it won't show up in the
5254s future
5255s I certainly hope not I would like to see
5257s them personally
5260s but
5261s we have to make a stand at a certain
5263s point so that we're not going so
5265s freaking crazy with the UI where it's
5268s not accessible and where it's not

6503s plans right that's just been a point of

6518s a particular Pathway to make sure that
