Hi everyone, apologies for the wall of text, I just want to cover a few important things 🐸

Firstly, we've caught up with all of the feedback from last week and over the weekend 😅

We're not able to respond to everything, but we always discuss all feedback with the dev team!

Initially, the feedback was focused around the new UI changes, but it now covers multiple issues across the game (Including physics & gameplay)

We want to let you know that we've heard you loud and clear 📢

We want the game to feel fun, stable, and most of all... fair!

We've taken a little while to respond as we've been calculating how long each bug will take to fix and how many people each one affects, so that we can correctly prioritise.

We've also jiggled around our timeline so that we can double down on fixing up the most annoying bugs!

We're looking to do a bug fix update before Season 6 addressing the most critical issues.

We'll also schedule some extra bug-fixing time in for Season 6!

Finally, a huge thank you to everyone for submitting issues/bugs to support, super helpful!

I know it's me posting this, but I've worked super closely with Abbie and Bee on this, we're all really pleased to show you that we are all listening, and that the whole of the MT team care about your feedback. We didn't want to just say "we're listening" without being able to tell you what the next steps are.

Lastly, I can't stress enough how helpful it is when people hit up support each time they see a bug. We tag each ticket that comes in so we can get a feel for which bugs are happening the most. It's super useful to attach videos for these and logs too. We're not always able to respond with solutions, but getting the information is really important to help the dev team with figuring out what's going wrong and fixing it. If you can hit up https://support.fallguys.com/hc/en-us/requests/new when you see anything weird, that would be awesome. Don't worry about sending TOO MANY tickets, we can't have ENOUGH tickets. Ideally, one ticket per issue too. Thank you!

Hey Eze (and /u/Rolbgie)!

Just chiming in on this one :)

There are a couple of reasons. If we could roll back, it'd take some time, and by the time that is sorted out we'd likely be close to a hotfix so it'd lack some impact there.

Fundamentally, there are a lot of changes in this update under the hood that are vital improvements and need to be in the game, and so it can't just be reverted.

We do hope that the features of 5.1 that you liked come through when we fix and patch this going forwards, and that the game improves for you considerably - but I am concerned to hear that it's almost unplayable for you. A lot of the issues being experienced vary greatly person-to-person, so if you are one of the worst affected, I really implore you to reach out to support with what you're experiencing - it'd help LOADS in improving the experience for players like you who are going through the same. You might hold some info that unlocks a lot of answers!

Edit: 5.1 typo

Realistically since the update I have been playing much less. I’m a 1000+ wins player, who used to play every night, but it simply feels like a different game now.

How my bean interacts with other beans and objects feels so much worse than before. I get caught in desync tornados (let’s say there’s 15 beans on a tile in perfect match or sum fruit, half of them will fly into the slime). The way objects hit me sends me back much further than ever before. A ball or fruit might knock me down, but now it knocks me back literally half the level in some cases. I can literally hug other players, but it refuses to take their tail or jinx them. Meanwhile the gentlest grab from another player sends me flying off the map.

I play on my home server, I have very reliable internet due to the nature of my job and having to work remotely.

A lot of the fun has just been taken out of the game for me, not necessarily because I can’t win as much, but because my losses are mainly being caused by weird things happening in the game.

I genuinely was having 5.fun after the first update of the season, but me, and the majority of people I play most often with are starting to move away from the game, because it’s just nigh on unplayable, and become frustrating.

The tornados are a big one for us, slide-tackling, general teleporting and things like that are a huge focus - so I really hope that improves for you soon as we're looking into that a LOT!

The huge impacts that you're getting are one we'd really appreciate some clips of if you get the chance to. It's clear by your recount here why you'd play less as it sounds like you're having a really frustrating experience, and we're really sorry about that. You shouldn't be being propelled at such force at all, and that is really strange.

Also I hope the bumpiness is resolved, Sum Fruit is damn ridiculous in Squads with unwitting rookies.

Bug! This will be sorted.

A couple of questions: Will the bug fixes trickle through to us as you reach them, or are we to expect them in a batch of fixes?

Also are you guys able to share a list with us of the specific bugs/issues you are prioritising?

They will be done in batches; this is the most efficient way for things to be tested and launched. If we did them say, one-by-one, it would delay each one after the first as it goes into a round of testing and QA, and is then deployed. Updates take a lot of different moving parts and teams to roll out, so even though doing it in batches feels slower, it's actually most efficient. Sorry if that sounds jarbled, I find it hard to explain that kind of thing!!

We will share a list of the specific issues before the end of tomorrow - that'll come from me, I'm just waiting on a few other bits before I can solidify it :)

We do have some lingering rotation issues - is your shop totally bought out except for a few things including those? I see people getting the honk in their store, so just checking to see if you have a bug or just bad luck haha

Anyway, please, PLEASE make sure the updates are properly tested BEFORE RELEASED !!

This community does not deserve to experience all these problems live.

Hallo!! I hear you, some elements are unavoidable when you're a big online multiplayer game - 0000s of people playing the game with huge variables will always see things that we don't. This is pain, but an unfortunately normal element of dev. But there are still changes outside of that which we're going to make going forward, so your feedback is heard loud and clear and you should see this get better.

For sure!

Good to hear the tornados, and general bean interactions are the priority.

I’m happy to clip, and send in any issue I run into. I know it helps to see the issue, try and replicate it, and work out what might be causing it.

Were there intended changes to the levels which can be served up in main show and squads? I’m seeing a team game every main show, and a high frequency of 16 player Hexagone or thin ice in squads. It feels like some legacy code may have gotten back into the game around level selection.

There were adjustments to the show weighting - kinda a little overdue, as S5 map level was really high before. The big finals isn't a favourite - any other feedback on that? Team games coming back in (but still not loads of them) was something we did consciously to see how they were feeling at the moment. It's always a hot topic, but we do like to change it up.

Can we all as players get a definitive answer on when these changes will be made? I’d greatly prefer a reply of “it’ll be one week until the fix rolls out, sorry!” than a “we’re aware of the issue and working on it.”? The one thing that has started to drive myself and other veteran players I know is the lack of clarity from the devs. I truly enjoy the game but every time issues get bad enough, Oliver has to come out and play damage control to frustrated players by giving an answer that leaves us guessing. If I knew it would be 3 weeks until every bug was patched I’d still play and at least have a sense of hope that there’s a definitive timeframe that I know these issues will be gone.

If there’s one thing that can save the community’s trust in MT, it’s clarity.

The reason we haven't given a date is because it's really fluid, as fixes are still being investigated - and they also then need to be tested, which can change timeframes depending on results.

It's not because we know a date and we're not sharing it, or because we don't want to figure a date out, if that helps. But it will be one patch before s6 at least, and that will definitely take less than three weeks I can assure you. That won't fix every single thing though, but a large portion of key issues. At that stage we can better relay what's left to fix and didn't make it into that patch.

Any point in submitting bugs to support? When I submitted about the bar speeding up on jump showdown a problem I’ve had with other moving objects they just said I jumped too early. I submitted another one earlier about the waiting for rewards taking longer and loaded into the next game with no cosmetics and I was instructed how to set up internet on my PS4, I wouldn’t be able to play online at all if it was that. I provided clips and support ID. A simple our team will investigate this issue will suffice in future.

They usually reply, but all tickets raised with support are 100% logged and added to the number of issues reported. It might feel like it's not helping (Huge apologies in that case) but it's super helpful to us. If we know one issue has 10 tickets, and another has 100 tickets, we know to focus on the 100 ticket issue first if possible.

I mean, it's great they're trying to fix it, but getting a fix out "before Season 6" is not the news I was hoping for. For one thing, we have no idea when Season 6 is and if these bug fixes are going to delay that further. For me, the game is basically unplayable in its current version because the physics are so bad that it's just not fun. If they could just focus on getting the physics back to where they were before this latest update rolled out, that would at least make the game playable. Bugs are annoying, but I can deal with them. What I can't deal with is the physics fundamentally changing the entire game for the worse. If you guys are prioritizing what needs done first, it's that.

That is a massive focus too, and it comprises of many different parts! We're hoping that the first patch makes a considerable improvement.

So exactly when is coming to nintendo swich, a lot of people are thinking this month or maybe november Some people say at the end of this season that i have asked when is finishing they say maybe october or november, and someone told me tbat they used to have a count down ( 5 days 21 hrs) <--- example. So im asking again when is coming to nintendo swich?

Unfortunately, we don't have any news for the Xbox or Switch versions to announce just yet. We aren't able to share the dates until they're locked down, and there will likely be marketing activity around it - rather than us just being able to answer on social media/reddit. We're working on them both though, really excited to get it into more people's hands!

In short, no we can't. Just repeating what Bee said above to someone else because I couldn't really put it better myself:

There are a couple of reasons. If we could roll back, it'd take some time, and by the time that is sorted out we'd likely be close to a hotfix so it'd lack some impact there.

It would undo a plethora of work that was necessary and not linked to the issues.

We don't have specific dates for it yet - as the work is being done right now. It's complicated to estimate how long specific bugs take to fix before you jump in and figure out why it's broken.

The team are working to a specific date - but it's a bad idea to share that publicly when it might move around a bit.

Other than the date, we've told you everything we know in terms of how we'll go about tackling the current situation with the game. What extra info do you think is missing?

An update on an update of an update!

We have taken Roll Off out of rotation until the above comes into place & we improve the issues with jumps being eaten on the platforms & teleports!

But there are still changes outside of that which we're going to make going forward, so your feedback is heard loud and clear and you should see this get better.

This is what I meant in terms of internal process changes. There are different causes for different things in the game, and that stuff that is 100% broken - let's say the qualification noise for example - needs way better processes to catch and squish. Sorry if it seemed dishonest, but I hope that clarifies what I meant.

Hey beans! I am still getting together a final list of what will be included, but do expect a post from me tomorrow outlining what to expect in the update and a date if I can give one (if not I will make that clear), and I will be on hand for any Qs!

Sorry that it is taking some time, I know that it can feel like these things should be instant or faster, but pivoting to make this work can be very complex. Thank you to those who have been patient while we work on this and gather info!
