Trying to figure out how to post this question without spoiling people that haven't done this one yet.
If you haven't finished the Wayward questline don't read any further in here.
I've been slowly going through the new stuff and decided I would finish this line yesterday. I'm on a Xbox One X and I'm playing through this mostly by myself. I was by myself during this yesterday.
>!When I got back to the Wayward and talked to Dutchess she asked me to follow her upstairs. I started walking up stairs with her and she turned around at the top of the stairs and started screaming at me. I had no idea what happened or what I had missed.
Somebody downstairs started talking and my focus changed over to them which meant I was staring directly at a wall because they were still downstairs behind the bar.
Being I figured I missed something I had no idea what was going on and shut down Fallout 76. I relaunched it and walked back in there and it looked like everything was reset.
I then went back through the dialogue with Duchess and she told me to follow her upstairs again. Following her upstairs exact same thing happened again and I know I'd hadn't done anything.
I followed her into the back room and I looked around and saw Crane on the ground dead. I took the items off of Crane and pressed B to back out of the transfer dialog with his body and that also canceled Dutchess from speaking.
Somebody in my party mentioned that I had missed some stuff in that I should start it over again and try again. I did that and walked back into the Wayward and had no opportunity to go back upstairs again or even speak with Dutchess!<
I was able to finish the quest but missed some important stuff here. Did anybody else have this happen? I've never fired a shot in the Wayward.
