Initially I thought this was a NAT type issue, but it says that since my friend has an Open NAT type, we can still play despite my NAT type being strict. Despite this, we are unable to accept each other's group invite. This is very unusual since I never encounter any multiplayer issues in other games and this is the first time NAT type has been an issue. I've tried the Port forwarding instructions and it did not change my NAT type to Open. I've tried turning off my firewall, restarting my wifi router, verifying game files, and none of it changed my NAT type to open.

Please see system specifications below, thought I doubt this would help:

CPU: Ryzen 3600
Mobo: Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro Wifi
GPU: Zotac RTX 2070 super
RAM: 16gb 3200mhz Kingston HyperX
SSD: Kingston m.2 1TB

To be honest, I dont need to change my NAT type since my friend has an Open NAT and we would just like to play duels against each other so I'm not looking for NAT type fixes. I'd rather resolve the group invite issue in the meantime.
