Someone has recently gifted me For Honor on steam but when I finished my download today and I booted it up, it started asking for a CD-key.
Thinking I must've missed it somewhere I turned to my best friend, google. As it turns out, some games can show you the CD-Key in steam when you right-click it. This did not seem to work, however. I've seen all the emails regarding to the exchange that came from Steam, no CD-Key there either.
I've tried to verify the integrity of the game through steam, and no issues were found.
This entire issue seems very strange to me. Especially because steam says I have a DLC installed called 'WW Uplay activation' and with other recent ubisoft games, that meant that a CD-Key was not needed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
