First and foremost, we hope that everyone is doing well and is safe at home during these times. On our side, the team is still hard at work to keep For Honor fully operational even though we are doing so from home.

We are proud of how quickly everyone on the For Honor development team has adapted to the situation. However, even with all our efforts during these times, the disruption over the past weeks is having an impact on our ability to deliver our near term content updates. For this reason, we have taken the decision to delay the release of Year 4 Season 2 to June 11, 2020.

We know that this news is disappointing; we were all excited to be able to show you what was coming to For Honor for the upcoming season. However, we are confident this was the right decision for us to be able to launch the content as we intended.

On a positive note, the team is currently working on a plan to be able to bring back fan-favorite activities to compensate for this delay. Those activities will be available in May and we will soon share more details within our May roadmap.

We want to thank you for your continued passion and support. Stay safe everyone.

And yeah calling bs on the whole I still work so they should have to argument, I still work, given I work in care I am likely more at risk than most who are not front line blue light workers, anyone who can should put safety first for their own benefit and for the people around them. This game will be here when things are less crazy and so will the players who have been here when people have been saying this game is dying, dead or ‘on life support’ since launch.

Stay safe FH team.
Thanks Candle and everyone else for the messages of support you've sent! I'm wishing the best for everyone who I've ever gotten to know on these forums. <3

I personally know one irl person (who works in retail, not at Ubi) who has been let go from their job. To say the least, I don't take the ability to work from home for granted right now.

In terms of some of the replies to this thread: I actually do think it's appropriate for you guys to talk about things as you normally do. I never expected people to lose their curiosity about the Cent rework.

I even think it would be okay to ask for clarification on how this communication impacts in-game issues. That makes sense to me. However, as some of your fellow forum users have pointed out, this thread might not be the best venue if you want to do a "call-out" post about Ubi. We have a whole forum below that you can use to create your own thread with its own tone (within forum rules).

I'm going to offer the best replies I can to a few of the issues brought up:

  • Cent is on the way but I can't provide an ETA. We didn't "disappear" the rework. There would be literally no reason to do that.
  • The results from the previous TG have been, and are being, assessed.
  • Internally, Shinobi is the hero I bring up most often as having problems after Highlander. Probably followed by Orochi.
  • We continue to see players bring up Reflex Guard (and I bring it up internally), but there's no update to provide at this time.

This wonderful fighting game you have created blatantly forces you to play mind games with your opponent, i.e. minimizes the flashing lights, colors, and all the other superficial stuff that is meant to draw people in when they don't see the beauty of the game's mechanics. Anyone can beat anyone with any character so long as you win the battle of the minds. True, some characters are far more limited than others, i.e. Centurion, Warlord, Aramusha, etc. (though I honestly don't think that any other character is as low tier in theory except for Shugoki but you buffed him a great deal). I love the style of this game, as it's very fresh in its realism of combat in comparison to other fighting games when everyone is basically a superhero or villain (from what I've played anyhow).

Thank you for making such an amazing fighting game, and I'm really sorry I didn't realize this sooner: it took me a long time just to get used to the mechanics (I became so frustrated that I had to put the game aside and just chill because it just didn't click for me yet) and only just recently realized how perfect the game is in every mode combat-wise (I can't speak to feats because when I play anything that isn't 1v1 or 2v2 I generally get ganked into oblivion and I still need to work on being able to handle more than two opponents.

You're done an incredible job and I'm eager to see what lies in store for us in the upcoming season.
Thanks for giving it a try! This is a super interesting perspective to come to For Honor with.
