[2020] My Gun Won’t Work in Creative

For some reason whenever I try to play creative maps with my friends (like zone wars) I can play fine for my first life. Then after I die once the rest of the time I can not shoot my gun or swing my pickaxe. When I look it up others say it is caused by editing, but even when I don’t edit at all it still does the glitch. Occasionally when I edit after the glitch occurs it will continually shoot or swing my pickaxe with no ability to stop it. Does anybody know how to fix it?

Some side notes: I play on PC. It only happens on creative maps.
