UPDATE: Issue resolved (details below)
I'm on vacation, visiting family & we wanted to play STW. However, I was flagged by 2FA when I attempted to log in from a new location. I set up that 2FA a while ago, to get the free storage spaces. That authentication app was on my phone, which recently crashed (just got the XS Max and it's awesome btw!) But that's okay, because I have those "Backup Codes" in my email. Unfortunately, they each get a response of "invalid or expired", so that didn't help. Unable to log on or reset my PW without dual authentication, I attempted to resolve this with Tech Support. Emails have gone back & forth, I've been nice & not so nice. After purchasing STW, Ultimate Founders Pack, more VBucks that I care to admit to, finally getting MSG & making it to Twine - I can't access my account. I cant get past that 2FA & EPIC refuses to disable it. I have provided my email, recent receipt numbers, copy of DL & credit card - yet they still hold my account hostage. I gave them the information needed to identify my account - however EPIC says that is not sufficient to identify ownership of the account. Below is one of the emails, including the list of documentation that they require (names removed):

Hello ****, our apologies for the delay. To disable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), you must provide the information below so we can verify that you own the account. Please keep in mind, if you have the original backup codes, you can use them to access your account.
- Your public IP address(es) (IPv4), which you can find by searching "What is my IP address" in your internet browser; if you use multiple devices, please include all IP addresses. In your case however, if you're visiting family at another location we'll need the public IPv4 of where you're logging into your Epic account currently.
- Date when you created your Epic Games account
- An invoice ID for any Epic Games purchase you made on the account (the Invoice ID begins with the letter "A" and is followed by 8 digits; example: A12345678)
- Locations (city, state/province) where you made purchases on the account
- Original display name for the account
- Last 4 digits of the first payment card used on the account
- Date of your last login
- Names of any PlayStation, Switch, Twitch, or Xbox accounts connected to your Epic Games account and the dates when they were connected
We also require at least one document related to proof of identity. Please attach an image of one of the following items: - Passport - Personal identification - Recent rent or mortgage statement
Please make sure only your name and address are visible. All other information should marked out to protect your privacy.
We're serious about player security, so if we're unable to verify you own the account, we won't be able to make any changes.

I understand security and maintaining account integrity. However, I opened this account with an email address. That's all - an email address. I added credit card info to make purchases. The above list is way over the top. My suggestion to Epic is to simply disable the CC/payment info when login is lost. When the account owner, with email verification and password reset, reacquires the account they can add their payment info again. My advice to players is very simple - get that 2FA off of your account!
Maybe I'll see you in game sometime. Maybe. If my account is ever released.
................................. UPDATE: Issue resolved. After 5 days, copies of my Driver's License, Credit Card and last 5 InGame Purchases were enough to satisfy Support. I was able to log in to game last night, after returning home from vacation.
