What do you do in Incursion campaigns?
Incursion campaigns are in a way Raids. You’d have main objectives but also a large variety of sub-missions in new zones which you haven’t ever seen before.
They are big auto-generated maps in which you’d be able to do many sub-objectives:
· Kill X amount of enemies
· Defend/Fend off X area from a small horde
· Repair things and defend.
· Help out survivors in need and rebuild their bases if needed.
· And the most important, gather resources.
· And many, many more!
How would Incursion be implemented?
That’s an easy question, Incursion would be its own game mode type and sub-campaign (but one that is here to stay!)
Incursion, as seen on the map, would work as an event, but would actually be a game mode.
How long would these campaigns be?
As long as the main objectives are completed, evacuation can be performed any time.
In general, you would want to strive to complete every mission on the map, so, say about 20 to 30 minutes. Even longer if that’s what you’d like.
In what way would these be different from normal missions?
Incursion campaigns offer a new way to play, rather than doing this tedious thing over and over of defending x objective, you’d be offered a big variety of things to do from. In general, you’ll also want to cooperate with teammates.
Think of Incursion as mini L4D-esque campaigns. Of course, Epic would be the one to add the extra details.
Also, just like any new event, you'd have a main campaign, as seen below:
What about rewards, what would I get?
Rewards are the one incentive for most players so, off from my head, I thought of a few:
· For completing the main objectives, you’d get your common resources: Perk-Up, Reperk, Any type of XP, Evolution Materials, Gold and such.
· For completing sub-objectives, you’d be able to gain more of the rewards mentioned above, say, the more you do, the more you get.
· And for completing special missions you’ll get the interesting stuff: Emotes, Music Packs, Pickaxes, Backblings and Wraps.

Mmh, seems interesting and all, but don’t you think it would get repetitive?
That’s where weekly raids come into play, as seen on the . Every week, a special mission with a set type of objectives and modifiers would offer up some of the aforementioned “special” rewards.

Besides, for completing certain quest missions you’d get rewarded with new heroes or schematics.
Some examples of possible hero rewards.
There’s also the idea of implementing seasonal Incursions, for example: The Winter Incursion of 20XX and the likes.
In-Game/Lore Explanation
“Commander, we have been contacted by outsiders, not from Homebase, currently residing out on the far lands, saying they need our help, would you mind checking it out?” – Ray
That’s where these two come into play, being the “outsiders”:
Now it’s in your hands to find them and rescue them. (This would be the first mission to unlock the Incursion campaign.)
Once the rescue mission is over, they’ll tell you about all of their findings, possible places where you could loot and save people, giving you acces to the raids, where you'll complete side jobs for them and people of homebase.
Who knows? Maybe if you get their likeness, they might even offer to become part of your team of soldiers.

New places mean new enemies, and who wouldn’t want to beat these with a good shot to the head?
