Yea it looks like the loading screen is now based on biome rather than mission with the exception of storm shields. Twine has a new one. I haven't checked the other ones. Some screenshots

No, I kind of gave up on trying. I was able to do some storm defense stuff by myself, but couldn't join games where other people were playing. Looking through the threads (like the main update/patch thread) it was the top voted comment, so it looks like a some kind of server side issue, and I didn't see any solutions. Sometimes people are able to join games and get kicked part way through, some can't even join them at all. I'm just giving up trying for a while and hoping they fix it...too frustrating.
