TL;DR(as requested) Epic isn’t adding enough new stuff to keep most people engaged for longer than a week max, basically trying to encourage me not to play, even though locker gud, fetch quests and reskin content bad.

After reading the new roadmap, I have to say I am very disappointed. After the addition of the locker, I was looking at the future of the game through rose colored lenses. And those lenses were shattered. All we got from this roadmap was a nerf to assault riflescough hemlock with sledgehammercough some reskins of the same hit the road quest, and a new quest line that is just more fetch quests. I have to question the sanity of the decision makers for save the world. I don’t blame the devs for the game’s issues, they just do what they’re told. I blame the higher ups who look at save the world like the runt of the pack. They just disregard us with fetch quests that even the most casual of players can finish in a week, leaving us with 5 weeks of nothing but hit the road, which is not interesting, to play for tickets for hopefully decent heroes and weapons. The game literally feels like it’s trying to get me to not play it anymore. They are doing the opposite of what we want, if they told us next season, hey community, no big new stuff this season because we’re working on twine campaign, and ironing out the bugs you’ve been dealing with for years, I’d be satisfied with that. I want long term improvements, not some fetch quests that pacify me for a few days max

You are forgetting the new Heroes, Weapons Sets, Traps, etc.

The changes that are being done to add in the SMG weapon type shouldn't have any impact on your builds. From the roadmap, " SMGs will work with a mixture of existing assault rifle and pistol Hero Perks ", will remain true. You will still be able to run your full assault rifle builds as the perks also buff SMGs and I would definitely encourage you to hop in and test them out before assuming they are nerfs.

We'll keep an eye on the feedback from the upcoming changes and make adjustments as necessary.
