I'm a couple quests away from my Canny Valley Defense 5, so I thought I'd go to my Canny Valley storm shield and check the lay of the land. When I got there, every structure I had ever built was gone. Every piece of metal fully upgraded, the ridiculous number of traps... Thousands of mats, gone. Hours of work in farming and then building, still spent! But their effort, gone. The amplifiers I placed are still there, but that's it.
I contacted Support. Support said, "Submit a bug report." Did so. Had a friend ask about my other storm shields so I checked those ... and they're empty of my builds, too. In fact, I noticed in Stonewood that all the plants and stuff are back, like with the exception of my amplifiers placed, it was reset.
So, I submitted bug reports for those, too.
Then I got back in touch with support to ask them a timeline to be helped. I'm always very polite with support. These are the people standing between you and what you want. Being rude to support is just as bad an idea as being rude to your waiter...unless you like spit in your food. (I won't judge your preferences.)
Well, the responses I got involved "be patient," like I wasn't simply asking a timing question and a response about QA's process of testing things and making sure the fix is something that works well for everybody. I replied that I understood! I tried empathy: I'm a lowly forum admin and fixing one thing in that can easily mess up another. I appreciate it's far worse on that grand a scale!
But .... as far as my hours of time and all the materials wasted and the fact that I need to rebuild Canny Valley now before I can move past this quest... When can I expect some kind of something to make this right?
I was told that I wouldn't be getting anything because Fortnite had not issued an official statement on it. Basically, I'm out of luck. But the support agent told me she hoped I'd find ways to enjoy other Epic games. And frankly, the tone of their responses was like, "Why are you still bothering me?"

So, has anyone else had this happen? And has anyone else managed to get a resolution to this problem that wasn't just, "Hahaha, ur lame. Buy our other stuff"?
