Hey everyone,

We’ll be releasing a client update tomorrow, April 19 at 6AM ET(1000 UTC) to resolve some issues that started occurring in patch v8.40. No downtime is required for this update.

Unfortunately, this patch does not have a fix for the major issues that players are experiencing (No HUD on in-progress missions and getting kicked from matches). We're still working diligently to get this issue resolved and we're getting closer to having a fix in place. We understand that this is a huge pain point at the moment and sincerely apologize that the fix isn't implemented just yet. We are in discussion on the overall impact that this is having on players.

Finally, thank you for the overwhelming amount of client logs that everyone has sent in regarding this issue. With your help, we're able to get additional context on issues like this which lead to fixes for issues such as this.

You should still be able to hop into solo missions without any issue. I know this doesn't help for players who are trying to farm 4x missions. It's definitely not something we intended to happen :(

It doesn't feel good on our end either. I would rather give everyone transparency on a patch as opposed to players being confused as to why they weren't told an update of any kind was coming.

Well, at least Epic is now finally talking to us I guess after 20+ hours of silence.

We're still working diligently to get this issue resolved and we're getting closer to having a fix in place.

Please don't lie and give us false hope. Your just going to make things worse. Just say "we'll have the update in the coming weeks" or something. Please don't hit us with a "it'll be fixed soon/shortly." Just be upfront. Don't give us this soontm BS.

Tell that to the people who can't join games, lost hero recruitment vouchers, missing out on legendary perks/heroes, schematics, etc. Don't say, do. Acta non verba. “Actions, not words.”

Really? How can you lie through your teeth? You were quite for 20+ hours. You weren't in discussion, you weren't responding to posts, you weren't on the forums, you were not in discussion. We as a community had to rely on STW YouTubers on getting the message to you.

You know... Demonjoefrance (a STW YouTuber) made a really great point about this whole situation in his latest video. He said (summarized) that STW is currently 50% off right now. Is this really what you want new players to experience?

Edit: Wow... can't believe I'm getting harassed just because I said I watch Demonjoefrance. What the hell is wrong with this community? I was just giving a quote about the game I heard from him. Please don't harass me just because I watch him. Imagine harassing someone just because they watch a certain creator. What is wrong with you guys. Unbelievable.

Apparently I being called out for lying. I'm not. You guys want proof to back up what I said? Here you go.

1. Anyone else think it's ridiculous that Epic has not updated us in the situation for 20+ hours now?

2. Update: degraded console performance found its way back onto the trello board.

3. Waiting... Finding Server... No Matches Available.

4. 20+ hours has passed, my first attempt to play the game for do some missions, and the kick issue still haven't fixed!!

5. How many gamebreakting bugs does this game need to get to a point of retaliation?

Is that enough proof for you people? Stop calling me a liar. I gave you my evidence to back up what I said.

I definitely apologize if you feel like you've been left in the dark but I don't see the 20+ hours of silence. I've made a post about this issue which was stickied to the top of the sub. I've made updates on that thread as well. Additionally, there have been two tweets about this issue (Tweet 1, Tweet 2), I have a card on our Trello Board, and I've been active in almost all threads related to this.

I know you are frustrated and I apologize if you haven't been given any clear or more direct information. Just know that we're working to get this resolved and I'll continue to provide updates as they become available.
