My husband, kids and I started our Epic adventure with BR. We started playing STW when it first went on sale for 50% off. It was a way for us to get more v-bucks to spend in BR. The hubs and I really latched on to STW, and we both upgraded to the really expensive edition (yes, the one which hardly anything good exists for now - and I miss the transform keys, btw). We quickly got addicted to STW, and made it our evening routine to spend time together gaming. We are both gamers at heart and fell in love the day I beat him down at Street Fighter 2. Save The World has been a fantastic bonding game. But it was also social and exciting... we made friends in other states and in other countries.
My husband had to move in July away from our home. Almost every day we facetime and play STW together. It isn't perfect, and I hate the nerfs and changes really... but it still is a fun game and it is my nightly date night with my husband who is working across the country in DC. I gripe and I complain and want the game to stop changing so much. It is glitchy and in some parts broken, but it is still a really engaging game. Even in Beta, it really beats a lot of games out there for co-op gameplay. It hits all the buttons of a crafter, fps, and the storyline is fantastic.
So, thank you, Epic, for making a game where a married couple that has to live apart can still connect. And even though I have to carry him most of the time, I love spending this time with my husband.
