Hey Commanders!

Can you see us alright? Make sure you've enabled "Subreddit Mod Posts" in your HUD settings.

You've guessed it, it's time for another Focused Feedback thread; this time regarding the recent HUD changes to the game.

As a reminder, Focused Feedback threads are meant to be more thought provoking vs simple feedback such as "It was fun", "It's too hard", "It's too easy", etc.

Here are some example topics you can use. It's best to expand on these examples if you are to use them.

  • The repositioning of the [UI Element] was [good/bad] because [reasons].

  • I don't like the changes to [UI Element] because [reasons]

  • I would like the changes more if we could customize/remove/scale/etc [UI element]

  • I think the changes are great because [reasons], it really helps with [other reasons]

  • I'm not a fan of the changes because [reasons], if you were to do [suggestion] instead, it would work better.

  • Can we please do something about the weird chat position?

Here are some talking points you can use (you're not limited to these):

  • UI Element locations (player hp at the bottom corner, quest objectives top right, etc)

  • Element scaling (why certain things should(n't) scale)

  • Element information (numbers next to icons, or lack-thereof, details on said element)

Can't find your HP/Shield/Energy numbers but want them back? Don't worry, you can enable them in your HUD settings.

Open your settings and go to Game UI and toggle Health/Shield Numbers.

Some other links for your consideration (they have nothing to do with this post)

Feel free to join the subreddit discord server to discuss these changes, look for a group to play some wargames, or just chill with other Fortnite players.

Huge thank you to all who have been contributing to the HUD feedback thread. We've got some initial improvements in mind that we're looking into implementing.

We'll be keeping an eye on this thread as it continues.
