25s | into week number four of the fnc s we're |
27s | over that halfway point so let's talk |
30s | about some things that we think are |
32s | gonna shake up the fnc s this weekend |
34s | let's kick things off with the Middle |
36s | East this is a region that has kind of |
38s | taken fortnight by storm ever since |
40s | we've seen these read this region come |
41s | online you know we've got feasel and |
44s | klopse just destroying the region |
46s | they've come in first every single week |
47s | so far this week though they've made a |
50s | little bit of a changeup they they had |
51s | hero Kappa on their team now they have |
54s | flow saw on their team so shy maybe if |
57s | you want to kind of talk us through this |
58s | region a little bit I'll talk to the |
60s | vision of that trio in specific as well |
62s | the region as a whole there are a lot of |
64s | mid game early game fights that do break |
65s | down and happen in a very quick speed |
67s | they're very team centric a lot of |
70s | fights are taken team by team the teams |
71s | that do split off and do one two splits |
73s | like the trio previously hero Kappa |
76s | feasel and plops they kind of dominate |
78s | fights from angles now flow saws in the |
81s | mix he's a very aggressive player he |
83s | actually splits off a bit more than hero |
84s | cop of him when I've seen this week and |
86s | his teammates just kind of answer to his |
88s | type of aggressive calls early and then |
90s | he stays the type of clutch wildcard |
92s | start player at the end game points as |
95s | well so it's a very fight centric type |
97s | of top down heavy region there's not a |
99s | lot of horizontal box-to-box fights that |
101s | happen it's mostly just a lot of jumps |
103s | on stuff coming down vertically end game |
105s | on waterfalls it's it's a very movement |
108s | kind of like the old Brazilian region |
110s | how they played in the early weeks of |
112s | the point I woke up it's a very |
113s | interesting region to watch the one |
115s | thing that I definitely want to note is |
117s | we saw in week two hero Kappa had it |
119s | felt like he had elevated his game he |
120s | had a number of situations where he |
122s | picked up clutch eelain's and put them |
124s | in a really good spot but it was |
126s | definitely like that core trio like |
128s | clops is the best planner like clops is |
130s | definitely the one who is able like it |
133s | sets the pace around him |
134s | looks to set them up but it felt like |
136s | they had slightly better teamwork from |
138s | what I saw when they were working with |
139s | blows up before they were known for kind |
141s | of staying around them spots but then |
143s | hero cap would go and get the angles |
144s | they kind of kept that teamwork rotation |
147s | moving through the mid-ground tarps and |
149s | just picking up elands in a lot of |
150s | situations and then flow saw was able to |
152s | convert on a more consistent basis and |
155s | also has that alter ego tag there so |
157s | rounding it out making sure they get |
158s | kind of the full squad in there I'm |
160s | honestly I expect to see them to |
162s | continue running through middle east and |
164s | the question now for me is will they win |
166s | it out because they are far and away the |
167s | favorites going into the heat yeah I |
169s | mean like he kind of said klopse is that |
171s | all-star you know he's definitely been |
173s | addicted in fates of gameplay he's not |
175s | afraid to hop in your box and take those |
177s | one of the ones when he needs to borrow |
179s | what do you think about this trio yeah I |
180s | think the interesting thing for this |
182s | trio is how they're the the change of |
185s | their third is going to affect them |
187s | because we've seen in other regions a |
188s | use specifically there's a couple people |
190s | like the item and mr. savage and Rojo |
193s | trio that's changed their third a little |
195s | bit it's been affecting people |
196s | positively and negatively I mean I'm |
199s | always gonna be like at the same time |
201s | you've reviewed so many other regions |
204s | over and over again |
205s | consistency versus a fresh start even |
207s | when you make it what type of effect |
209s | does it have on the mental game and your |
211s | strats when you actually break it down |
212s | region a region mm-hmm yeah I think it |
215s | definitely has an effect because the |
216s | chemistry that you're building |
217s | especially as you get into harder and |
219s | harder games and you touched on it a |
221s | little bit it gets harder in the Middle |
224s | East region similar to Brazil where |
226s | Brazil has the most stacked end games |
228s | now that they're very difficult so if |
230s | you don't have that chemistry if you |
231s | don't know exactly how each other play |
233s | in those games under pressure it's gonna |
236s | be difficult but yeah so it's gonna be |
238s | interesting to see what that change is |
241s | going to do to that trio in terms of the |
243s | harder games next up let's talk about |
246s | Kevin he is back with a vengeance and |
248s | he's actually brought the motel with him |
251s | right now he's flying all around the |
253s | island and as of now he's actually on |
255s | the covered bridge west of lucky landing |
257s | and sundown I know specifically that |
258s | used to be one of your hot spots yeah so |
261s | that was one of my job spots back when I |
262s | had kind of a pirate invasion going on |
264s | all the cannons over there there's a |
266s | guaranteed three chests but the |
267s | aspect for me in terms of Kevin at the |
269s | map is another form of mobility that |
271s | you're able to play around with only |
273s | drift boards and then kind of the zip |
275s | lines plus pleasure plant rotations |
277s | being kind of how you get around the |
279s | fact that Kevin is now a suddenly form |
281s | of rotation that is reliable you know if |
283s | you pass by that you're going to be able |
285s | to get up and then get a rotation going |
287s | on what that also means though is |
289s | because it is a reliable one if it's on |
291s | the mini-map and everyone knows where it |
292s | is keep an eye on it in terms of |
294s | rotations players are going to be |
296s | incorporating that into the rotation |
297s | paths they're going to be either landing |
300s | there to get a quick drop on people like |
301s | you've seen T foo do with the meteor |
303s | like grab up there maybe try and get an |
305s | FSA gun and put shots on people or grab |
307s | something quick shields and then rotate |
309s | on to someone else so I'm interested to |
311s | see how people are going to adapt their |
313s | rotation pass around Kevin and how it |
316s | ends up playing out this weekend |
317s | I mean sundown said the word I wanted to |
319s | hear adapt it's one of two only spots on |
322s | the map right now the block being one |
325s | and now the island and the other that's |
326s | always ever-changing so with the block |
328s | the scenery is always there from the |
329s | match change but with the island it's |
331s | positioning so if any players want to |
332s | drop they're permanently the action I'm |
334s | actually have around it kind of changed |
335s | there is brick metal and wood available |
337s | on the actual valve spot but right now |
339s | there's extra metal down below as well |
341s | on the covered bridge now as that mat as |
343s | that island moves around you know the |
345s | game plan will get shaken up the |
346s | rotations they're shaken up the amount |
348s | of pressure there gets shaken up as well |
349s | there's a lot of low ground around right |
351s | now as soon as you know you get closer |
352s | to hills it's harder to contest people |
354s | up top so it's going to be really |
355s | interesting watching how people change |
357s | up week to week if they want to |
359s | permanently drop at the spot now Bhalla |
360s | I mean you know with Kevin constantly |
363s | moving certain teams probably have an |
365s | ideal drop spot some of they're looking |
367s | to land do you think if if Kevin is near |
370s | them should they deviate do you think |
372s | they should try and take those risks and |
373s | try and get the loot potentially limbs |
375s | from that do you think maybe they're |
377s | gonna change up their drop spots |
378s | thinking look maybe if this if Kevin's |
380s | near this is gonna bring more people and |
382s | more attention to our spots in general |
384s | like what do you think about this for |
385s | the teams that are landing not |
386s | necessarily on Kevin but around Kevin |
388s | yeah so I think that's definitely have |
390s | to be a consideration for people they |
392s | have to consider are there extra people |
393s | dropping at Kevin is there actually |
396s | extra loot are there free eliminations |
397s | that they can by landing on Kevin nearby |
400s | their spot and then content |
401s | with their normal path but I think it's |
403s | definitely be a preference thing right |
404s | how comfortable you are switching up |
406s | your spot we see players like T foo for |
409s | example very comfortable landing at the |
410s | block week after week even though it's |
413s | changing so fast and that's just a thing |
416s | I said adapting right if you're quick |
418s | get adapting then you should be good |
420s | making changes to Kevin and I think |
422s | that's gonna catch people off-guard and |
424s | the other thing I think is how it |
427s | affects the game throughout the entire |
429s | state right through mid game through |
431s | endgame because now there's two big |
433s | vertical items that have really no mid |
436s | ground in between there's the there's |
437s | the meteor and now Kevin as well which |
440s | you can scale obviously with the current |
443s | underneath it so that's gonna be a |
445s | little interesting a little weird it's |
446s | gonna be fun to see how people adapt and |
448s | play around that in the mid game and in |
450s | the endgame but I'm excited I love Kevin |
452s | alright now let's talk about the zapper |
454s | this new item was introduced this week |
456s | in the content update a very unique item |
459s | it is a held item you throw it in crates |
461s | a zapping an electrified wall if you |
465s | will but just 50 damage every few |
467s | seconds to enemies that are on either |
468s | side of it |
469s | pretty interesting could lead to some |
472s | new wall taking type things but also |
473s | like now you'll have to go into |
475s | someone's box your little you can just |
476s | say here's a zapper get out of your box |
479s | please I would like to engage with you |
480s | now so conceptually I like the idea of |
483s | it it seems like kind of a step up or a |
487s | little more we're supposed to be a |
489s | little more terrifying synchrony and I |
491s | like the idea of forcing people out of |
492s | one by ones I don't necessarily think |
494s | we're gonna see too much use of it in |
497s | the FNC yes and when you're playing in |
500s | trios like mobility shields are gonna |
502s | take priority over that every single |
504s | time don't think we'll see a ton of it |
506s | in this instance to be honest I mean |
508s | yeah the opportunity cost and using it |
510s | is definitely like really high in terms |
511s | of you know having it in your actual |
513s | inventory at the right times I think |
515s | that it'll be a type of shield bubble |
517s | item in terms of that at first glance it |
520s | just kind of seems a little bit gimmicky |
521s | doesn't have a set role at all points in |
523s | the game but if you have it in |
524s | combination at the right times it you |
527s | know pops off like shield bubbles on |
528s | bushes or shield bubbles when you're |
530s | moving around just for rotations I think |
532s | with the zapper trap specifically in |
535s | when people are just so used to tarping |
537s | straight not really adjusting anything |
538s | unless people are right above them if |
540s | you just throw that trap on just across |
542s | your tarp to someone else's tarp it just |
544s | ruins their whole game it has to you |
546s | know kind of adjust their position they |
547s | got to keep into touch in what's going |
549s | on with their splits and their trio's it |
551s | can kind of shake things up positioning |
553s | wise but I don't think it's gonna be |
554s | necessarily used for damage purposes I'm |
557s | actually kind of upset you compared it |
559s | to our Lord and Savior the bubble shield |
560s | we all agree the bubble shield was gonna |
562s | be pretty sick and we've seen a lot of |
564s | innovation whether you know your right |
567s | away just being like oh I think this |
569s | year it's like this thing's for damage |
570s | it was like you've tossed on their type |
572s | you're just gonna go up or down a level |
573s | right like it has a little bit of an arm |
575s | time I think there's definitely a lot |
577s | more utility coming out of the bubble |
578s | shield but I know ball you wanted to say |
580s | something yeah I think the question last |
582s | week with the bubble is are people going |
584s | to use it we thought it was a item that |
586s | was definitely had some value but |
588s | whether it was going to be using |
590s | competitive and worth the slot like you |
591s | said takes up a slot |
593s | I think Shiloh's right in this case I |
595s | think it's something that we have to |
596s | wait and see to see how the best players |
598s | are gonna use it and I obviously think |
600s | it's gonna be used in combinations you |
602s | said it was like a stinker made like a |
603s | little bit more fearsome stink grenade |
606s | because it forces you out of the box but |
608s | like use it in combination or while |
610s | they're running in there tarps think |
612s | about it how often is there a trio |
614s | that's tarping a head you have one guy |
615s | passing and then you have the two guys |
617s | others you know opening edits and |
619s | looking for windows and then they just |
620s | start running back in the tarp and all |
622s | of a sudden there's a there's a baton in |
624s | there that's awesome I think that's |
626s | gonna be really cool I think there's |
627s | potential and don't forget you can even |
629s | arm it like it doesn't have to be it |
631s | doesn't replace a wall you can throw it |
633s | out and if it lands on an unoccupied |
635s | building space it will build a wall |
637s | there so there is potential some other |
639s | team is tarping out and you literally |
640s | cut them off and you had they have to |
642s | make a split decision moment and a |
645s | split-second decision excuse me and have |
647s | to decide do we go up we go down to go |
649s | left to go right and that could very |
650s | well change the dynamic of you versus |
653s | that trio so we'll have to see how |
655s | things shake up but that wraps up the |
