Next gen consoles have arrived! With their release, please remember to include what platform you are playing on when posting any bug reports.

This will help the Fortnite Team to investigate issues in a swift manner. Thanks!

  1. Post any bugs or feedback about playing Battle Royale on your new PlayStation 5 as replies to this post
  2. Be sure to describe any issues clearly, and link to any relevant media or posts
  3. This post will be kept up-to-date with workarounds where available, and with any known issues stated by Epic

⚠️ Issue: Settings will not transfer from PlayStation 4

  • PS4 and PS5 settings are independent of one another
  • Locker Presets are shared across all platforms
  • Take a screenshot of your old settings page if you have custom keybinds

⚠️ Issue: Unable to use DualShock 4 controllers

  • Sony explains DualShock 4 controllers from PS4 cannot be used with games re-designed for PS5 like Fortnite
  • This means you have to use DualSense controllers with Fortnite, and other next-gen titles

⚠️ Issue: Unable to play Competitive

  • Epic tweeted that Tournaments are temporarily unavailable on Xbox Series or PS5
  • Arena playlists will still be available

Anyone having trouble joining a party of a ps5 player? I can’t join peoples parties and they can’t join mine

Hi, u/heyitsmejosh. Are you on PS4?

Currently, when playing Fortnite, players cannot create system-level parties that include players on both PS5 and PS4. (However, players on PS5 and PS4 can still party up together using the in-game party system.) As we work to address this issue, you can track its status with this Trello card.
