I used to love the Quadcrasher. It was easily my favorite thing in Fortnite. I loved the sense of speed and momentum. I loved the way you could fly through the air with it endlessly if you rotated upwards while boosting. It was insane, you were able to pick up so much air and momentum that you could fly across the map and off the other side, killing yourself on accident.
It had a boost that was very powerful. Sure you could fly, but it was impercise and sometimes dangerous.
It was wild and kind of broken.. but in my opinion it was one of the best feeling vehicles in any game I've ever played.
But they nerfed it into the ground shortly after vaulting it by removing the ability to rotate in the air entirely.
Now it felt terrible and was only in party royale and creative.
At the start of this season the Quadcrasher was a bit improved. You weren't able to rotate in the air while boosting.. but after the boost was complete you were able to rotate in mid-air again. So if you timed everything right and got enough air you were still able to get a second boost off and fly through the air. Most of the time you could only do it once in the air.
While I didn't think it was necessary to nerf the thing in the first place... (spider web shooters let you travel across the map similarly and are way more precise/controlled)
... I felt this was a fair compromise for us Quadcrasher fanatics. It might not be able to completely fly anymore.. but at least we can still sort of feel that adrenaline from soaring through the air on this thing again.
But then they made it so you can't rotate upwards in mid-air after boosting at all.
Now you can just rotate downwards. This just feels broken and horrible.. I can't possibly understand what the reasoning behind this was.
Sometimes I rotate downwards on accident and I can't even straighten out anymore so I just awkwardly crash. It went from being broken in a fun way to being broken in a broken feeling way.
Has anyone else noticed this??
