We were promised an option to turn off pre-edits, but that's not what we got. How their implementation works is that you still pre-edit builds, leaving many of the issues that we have had forever (after placing a build and trying to edit quickly, you'll still pre-edit your blueprint instead of your wall). All that they changed is that if you switch out of build mode and back in, the pre-edit will be gone.

But while that's improvement, it's not what we wanted. We wanted the ability to turn pre-edits OFF. That means it should always select builds to edit in the same way it would should I be holding my pickaxe or a shotgun, regardless of what blueprint I'm holding. Epic, what you did is good, but please don't just check pre-edits off your to-do list. It isn't done, it's just a step in the right direction.

" We understand we missed the mark in adding an option to disable pre-edits in the 15.10. We know many of you find pre-editing unnecessary and would like a setting where you’re not able to edit a build until the build is in place. We plan to adjust the setting early next year. "

Wanted to make sure this sub got visibility on our response to this, as we'd teased this feature here earlier.
