CHALLENGE PLAY PERIOD: Challenge play will take place from 9:00pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (“AEST”) on April 9, 2020 through 11:59pm AEST on April 13, 2020 (“Challenge Play Period”).

CHALLENGE PARTICIPATION: During the Challenge Play Period, Players (as defined below) will receive the opportunity to complete the JDUTH’s Easter Deathrun map (Creative Code: 1992-6788-5546) (“Map”) within Fortnite (“Game”). Upon completion of the Map, a Player’s completion time will be added to the Challenge leaderboard (“Leaderboard”). Players may attempt to complete the Map as many times as possible during the Challenge Play Period; provided, however, that only the fastest time will be considered for purposes of determining Challenge winners.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE: Only individuals, 15 years of age or older, who are legal residents of a country within the OCE region (“Region”) are eligible to participate in the Challenge (each, a “Player”). An eligible minor should have a parent’s or legal guardian’s permission to participate.

Employees, representatives, freelancers and agents of Epic Games, Inc. (“Epic”), its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising and promotion agencies, and members of their immediate family (spouse, parent, children, siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same household, whether or not related, are not eligible. Void outside the Region and where prohibited. The Challenge is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state and local laws.

CHALLENGE PLAY: Players are responsible for understanding the rules of the Game. Unless otherwise specified by Epic, all normal rules of Game play will apply. Players must conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner. Players who engage in unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing or threatening conduct or violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in the Game or in participating in the Challenge, or attempt to obtain winner status using fraudulent means, including, without limitation, cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair practices, in Epic’s sole discretion, will be disqualified. Players must abide by all rules and regulations of the Challenge and must comply with all requests and directions of Epic. Epic reserves the right to disqualify any Player from participation at any time and for any reason. The Challenge Entities (as defined below) are not responsible for any unanticipated technical failure, hardware or software malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, failures or difficulties; or for any other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical, or electronic; or for the incorrect or inaccurate capture of Game scores or other information, or the failure to capture any such information. Winning status is subject to verification, at Epic’s discretion, including any suspected errors or anomalies in the Game that may have affected the displayed results. All decisions of Epic are final in all matters relating to the Challenge.

LEADERBOARD: Please note that the Map completion times displayed on the Leaderboard may not be accurate or in real-time. Epic reserves the right to alter the time displayed for any Player if any unforeseen issues arise that result in time reporting delays and/or inaccuracies, or if there has been unsportsmanlike or other behavior prohibited by these Challenge Rules. A Player is not a winning Player even if the Leaderboard should so indicate unless and until Epic has verified the Player and his/her completion time and officially announced such Player as a winning Player.

WINNER DETERMINATION: At the conclusion of the Challenge Play Period, the Players with the one hundred (100) fastest completion times, as determined by Epic, will be deemed the Winning Players (as defined below). Potential Winning Players may be required to execute a prize claim release form and/or any necessary tax reporting documentation (if any) as may be required by Epic. Failure to do so or other noncompliance with these Challenge Rules may result in disqualification. If any Player is disqualified, the Player with the next fastest completion time will be deemed the potential winner of the applicable prize, subject to compliance with all requirements set forth herein as being imposed on Winning Players. If, for whatever reason, fewer than one hundred (100) Players complete the Challenge, not all prizes will be awarded. In the event of a tie for one of the top one hundred (100) places, all tied Players will be awarded the applicable prize.

PRIZES: Subject to the terms and conditions herein, the following prizes will be awarded to each Player, as applicable, based on his or her placement within the Leaderboard at the conclusion of the Challenge.

The Winning Players will receive the applicable prizes set forth in this section within seven (7) days of completion of the Challenge, or such other time as reasonably required by Epic for awarding such prizes.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: By participating in the Challenge, each Player agrees: (a) to abide by these Challenge Rules and decisions of Epic, which shall be final and binding in all respects; and (b) to release, discharge and hold harmless Epic, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising and promotion agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees (collectively, the “Challenge Entities”) from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from Player’s participation in the Challenge. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Challenge, who act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or who are in violation of these Challenge Rules, as solely determined by Epic, will be disqualified. In the event of force majeure causes, such as unauthorized intervention, bugs or tampering meeting force majeure conditions, Epic reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Challenge at any time.

The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Challenge Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. If any provision of these Challenge Rules is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, then the Challenge Rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein. Epic's failure to enforce any term of these Challenge Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

The Challenge is void where prohibited and subject to all applicable federal, provincial and local laws.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: By participating in the Challenge, each Player (a) grants permission for Epic and its designees to use such Player’s name, tag, likeness, video, game play statistics, and/or Epic account ID for publicity purposes prior to, during, or after the Challenge Play Period, in any media, throughout the world, in perpetuity, but only in connection with publicizing the Challenge, without any compensation or prior review unless specifically prohibited by law; and (b) agrees to be bound by these Challenge Rules and the decisions of the Epic (including interpretations of these Challenge Rules) and the judges, and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Challenge or these Challenge Rules.

FORCE MAJEURE: If for any reason the Challenge is not capable of running as planned, then Epic reserves the right in Epic’s sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Challenge. The Challenge Entities shall not be liable to a Winning Player or any other person for failure to supply the prize or any part thereof by reason of any act of God, any action, regulation, order or request by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity, equipment failure, terrorist acts, earthquake, war, fire, flood, pandemic, explosion, severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike, labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot or any similar or dissimilar event beyond their reasonable control.

PRIVACY: The information that Players provide in connection with the Challenge will be used only in accordance with Epic’s privacy policy, located at https://www.epicgames.com/privacypolicy.

DISPUTES: Disputes regarding these Challenge Rules and/or the Challenge will be governed by the internal laws of the State of North Carolina. Decisions of Epic are binding and final. No claimant in any dispute involving Epic shall be entitled to claim or obtain indirect, punitive, incidental or consequential damages.
