Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point Issue #1

Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point (Issue #1)

Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point #1 arrives at your favorite comics shop or digitally to DC UNIVERSE INFINITE (US-only) on April 20, 2021. Following Issue #1, the next installments will arrive twice monthly in May (May 4/May 18) and June (June 1/June 15). The six-part series concludes with a thrilling finale on July 6.

Each print issue of Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point will include a redeemable code for bonus DC-themed Fortnite digital items inspired by the events in the comic, starting with the new Rebirth Harley Quinn Outfit. Each issue of Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point will include bold/dynamic main and variant covers from legendary artists, including the Issue #3 variant cover featuring Batman vs. Snake-Eyes from DC Publisher and Chief Creative Officer, Jim Lee. In addition to incredible main covers from artist Mikel Janín, some of comics’ most talented artists will be providing variant covers for this six-issue limited series, including Arthur Adams and Sabine Rich, Dan Mora (Detective Comics), and Amanda Conner (Harley Quinn, Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey).

Collectors will also want to be on the lookout for the limited-run premium variant covers, which come from Epic Games Chief Creative Officer, Donald Mustard.

FAQ:

How can I get access to Items available with the Batman/Fortnite comics?

There are three ways to get the items that are a part of the Batman/Fortnite crossover event:

  1. Purchase print versions of the Batman/Fortnite comic books from your local comics shop. The print version of each of the comic book issues contains one unique code that unlocks that issue’s in-game item. If you redeem the code from all six issues of the Batman/Fortnite crossover, you’ll receive a bonus Armored Batman Zero Outfit. The hardcover collected edition, available on September 7, 2021, collects all six comic books and includes one unique code that unlocks all seven items.
  2. A paid subscription to DC UNIVERSE INFINITE gives fans day and date access to all six comic books in digital format, and one unique code per issue will be provided to paying subscribers who read the issue for the same in-game items as the physical comic books.
  3. Purchase the in-game items directly in the Fortnite game, with V-Bucks.*

Note: Code redemption can be from digital or physical issues, or a combination of both. In order to get the bonus Armored Batman Zero Outfit, all six codes must be redeemed on the same Epic Games account.

*The suggested retail price of a Batman/Fortnite comic book is $4.99 ($5.99 for a card stock variant cover). While the in-game cost of items varies by item, the item featured in Issue #2 (the Batman Zero Wing Glider) is currently 1,200 V-Bucks.

Do I need to redeem codes from all six issues to get the Armored Batman Zero Outfit?

Yes. The Armored Batman Zero Outfit will be provided at no additional cost if you redeem a code from each of the six issues or if you redeem the code from the hardcover collected edition. Code redemption can actually be from digital or physical issues, or a combination of both. In order to get the bonus Armored Batman Zero Outfit, all six codes must be redeemed on the same Epic Games account. However, if, for example, you redeem five codes but purchase the sixth item from Fortnite’s store, you will not be eligible to receive the Armored Batman Zero Outfit at no additional cost. In this case, you would need to purchase the Armored Batman Zero Outfit in the Fortnite store separately (or redeem the sixth code).

As a DC UNIVERSE INFINITE subscriber, what do I do if I read a comic issue and do not receive a code?

In order to receive the digital code, you must read the digital version of the comic on DC UNIVERSE INFINITE with a paid subscription (US only). Following this, be on the lookout for an email from DC UNIVERSE INFINITE (please allow 24 hours to receive).

NOTE: Codes are not available in digital versions of the comic which are sold individually. The only way to get codes through a digital platform is with a paid subscription to DC UNIVERSE INFINITE (available in the US only).

If you do not receive a code after reading a comic issue, contact DC customer support at yourdcu.com/submit and they will get back to you as soon as possible. For more details on the process, contact DC’s Community moderation team.

What happens if I redeem a code for Batman/Fortnite Zero Point content that’s already in my Fortnite locker?

This will not return V-Bucks to your account, but redeeming a code would allow you to still be eligible for the bonus Armored Batman Zero Outfit after redeeming all six codes.

Will I still qualify for the Armored Batman Outfit if I purchased an individual Batman item from the Item Shop?

If you already own an Outfit, you can still redeem a code for the same item. This will not return V-Bucks to your account, but it would allow you to still be eligible for the Armored Batman Zero Outfit after redeeming all six codes.

As long as all six comic code redemptions (DC Universe Infinite OR physical) are on the same Epic account, you should be eligible for the Armored Batman Zero Outfit.

How long will the physical comic issues be sold in comic shops?

Check with your preferred comic book retailer for details on availability. We recommend consulting your local shop to see how long they plan to carry each issue.

The Batman Zero Point items make up a Bundle in the Item Shop. How does redeeming an item in the Bundle affect the Item Shop price of the Bundle?

The Bundle price is adaptive. If you redeem a code for a certain item in the Bundle, the total V-Bucks price of the Bundle will decrease accordingly.

What’s the difference between the Batman Zero Outfit and the Armored Batman Zero Outfit?

The Batman Zero Outfit is the Outfit that released in the Item Shop to coincide with the release of comic issue #2. The Armored Batman Zero Outfit is the Outfit that’s unlocked after redeeming all six comic codes. Though named similarly, both are different Outfits; one is not a different Style of the other.

Will the Armored Batman Zero Outfit be available in the Item Shop?

Yes. Following all comic releases, the Armored Batman Zero Outfit will additionally be available in the Item Shop.

Where are the Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point comics available?

The series launches day-and-date in North America, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, and the Czech Republic. Please note that paid subscribers of DC UNIVERSE INFINITE (US-only) who read the digital issues on DC UNIVERSE INFINITE and who are not in a free trial period will also receive the bonus digital codes for Fortnite items for the issues read. Additional countries in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, South America, and Latin America will also have a limited number of print comic books available. Be sure to check your preferred local comic book store for availability.

I downloaded the Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point digital comic from a 3rd Party site (Comixology, Comics App on Google Play); can I still get my bonus digital codes for the cosmetic items?

Sorry, the offer for bonus digital codes is limited to print issues and to paid subscribers of DC UNIVERSE INFINITE (US-only) who are not in a free trial period.

How do I redeem my code for my bonus digital item?

  2. Select Your Preferred Platform or “Sign In With Epic Games” if you already have an Epic Account.
    1. Verify that you are logged into the correct account.

  5. Verify the item you are redeeming and select “ACTIVATE."

  7. Select Battle Royale.
  8. Upon loading in, you will receive a gift box showing your unlocked cosmetics. You can select EQUIP or CLAIM to close. Cosmetics will then be available in your Locker.
Note: Codes Expire on May 1, 2025.

I’m not located in a country where the comic book will be available; can I still get the Rebirth Harley Quinn Outfit and the other digital items from the comic book?

Yes, the Fortnite cosmetic items will also be available in the Item Shop. Rebirth Harley Quinn will only be available with the bonus code in the comic book beginning April 20, but she will be available in the Item Shop later this summer. All other Fortnite/Batman Zero Point cosmetics will be available in the Item Shop day-and-date with the bonus code in the comic book.
