s | what's up for knife em I'm Zeke and I'm |
---|---|
s | sundown and that's it we're done the |
s | qualifiers for the first ever fortnight |
s | champion series are finished the groups |
s | are set and the stage is ready but first |
s | we need to dive on in and see what went |
s | down in the final week after a shaky |
s | performance last week the alter ego trio |
s | of clops flow saw and feasel are back at |
s | the top of the leaderboard yeah so they |
s | were able to score 126 points while |
s | winning four of their eight matches |
s | which is very efficient and they've been |
s | known for playing for the late-game |
s | staying stacked on top of each other in |
s | showing their discipline and clops and |
s | feasel have been in the top spot in the |
s | Middle East all but the last week the |
s | one thing that's on my mind we talked |
s | about this a little bit last week in the |
s | recap show as well is what is the team's |
s | consistency going to look like in the |
s | finals because they're going to be |
s | playing with hero kappa who they won the |
s | first two weeks with it we're very |
s | strong but they've had not as much |
s | necessarily time as some of these other |
s | trios have invested so I think it's |
s | gonna be a real interesting story to see |
s | who wins out and is the first season |
s | champion coming out of the Middle East |
s | after taking second place in week four |
s | the OCE kings Jordan Jessee invokes |
s | smashed the competition with a 34 point |
s | lead |
s | I mean winning five of their nine games |
s | averaging nine alums a game and then |
s | they average a top seven finish which |
s | included a zero Elam 28th place in their |
s | first game so if you scratch that their |
s | averages actually go up a significant |
s | amount more but this is what we talked |
s | about in the last week cap show |
s | it's basically either them or the link |
s | worthy and goombazz trio who are the |
s | favourites link within goobers has won |
s | two of the weeks but with the twins and |
s | Volks kind of ironing out in the last |
s | week winning it there and considering |
s | they did have such a throwaway game |
s | right at the start that's the bigger |
s | thing for me right a lot of teams if you |
s | load in the final week going in the |
s | finals you're there ready to go if you |
s | go 0e limbs and you're in 28th place in |
s | the first match like that feels in so |
s | many circumstances that you've hit a |
s | Roebuck but the fact that Jesse Jordan |
s | and Volks were able to overcome that |
s | right away and then put up such |
s | ridiculous numbers really impressive |
s | they're definitely the favorites going |
s | into the finals |
s | in Asia brewery resort and muffin have |
s | made it as highest top 15 and in the |
s | final week of qualifiers they showed up |
s | big time showing a big time is an |
s | understatement again we talked about |
s | incredible last-second performances |
s | their final match they won with 9e limps |
s | to push them up to a hundred and twenty |
s | three points just barely edging out the |
s | rest of the competition and the Japanese |
s | trio has been there before they've all |
s | been a part of that World Cup qualifying |
s | process Rory was there muffin was there |
s | all of these guys have played so much |
s | and the fact to see another new trio on |
s | top in Asia is really kind of them in |
s | Brazil have a very similar thing we'll |
s | talk about them a little bit later where |
s | there isn't really one definitive team |
s | but more a solid maybe like five to ten |
s | who are going to be in the top and you |
s | know to keep an eye on over an EU |
s | mongrel metro and Benji give us a repeat |
s | performance and claim first this makes |
s | five weeks in a row they've qualified |
s | coming in first or second every week |
s | yeah an average overall placement of 1.4 |
s | in terms of your final standings is |
s | pretty good and again I don't want to |
s | like go back and harp on it but the only |
s | reason they got second in those two |
s | weeks was like atrociously bad back for |
s | games I'm talking about like them |
s | getting three or four points in their |
s | last four games combined and then just |
s | miss playing like every situation and |
s | the fact that it takes them to like |
s | quite literally might be at their lowest |
s | for them to get second and any other |
s | time they're doing anything remotely |
s | else they're 20 to 30 points ahead of |
s | the rest of the region in Europe where |
s | you have the most trios who are pushing |
s | for it the most people who are |
s | participating like MMB are ridiculous |
s | they're on another level right now |
s | they're the favorites and everyone else |
s | is playing catch-up for good reason in |
s | Brazil clip note Waco and nothing no |
s | name have had hit or miss performances |
s | they qualified back in week 3 but in the |
s | final week of qualifiers they wanted to |
s | show us that they are in fact not no |
s | names I see what you did there seek but |
s | the Argentine's had a great performance |
s | particularly in their final three |
s | matches scoring 30 a Lim's and then |
s | getting third a second and then closing |
s | out with the victory were out to get 129 |
s | points and to push themselves just two |
s | points ahead of second place and this is |
s | again another changing the guard and the |
s | top teams in South America and we've |
s | seen the Argentinians challenging over |
s | and over again as well and it's very |
s | similar to Asia where there's a very |
s | definitive maybe five or ten teams who |
s | you see them in the top 10 in the top 20 |
s | every single week but there isn't that |
s | mutual Mongo Benji kind of staking their |
s | claim at the top and saying hey we're |
s | the best and for me that means those |
s | heats and those finals are going to be |
s | that much more intense because at any |
s | point in time one of these top teams |
s | could grab the reigns and just totally |
s | run with the region or somebody could |
s | not be having the best day or some of |
s | these other teams who are on the outside |
s | looking in could become a dark-horse hit |
s | their stride and really get rolling I'm |
s | so pumped for the Brazil finals after a |
s | recent shake-up |
s | chief who claimed 1st in na East along |
s | new partners at a neck and fiber oh you |
s | did not just call him had a knack seek |
s | that hurts that hurts it's Kannada TV up |
s | there and Kannada making sure he does |
s | everything he needs to do in the way and |
s | honestly if you go back through and you |
s | watch a lot of them like the victory |
s | rouse in particular the three vrs they |
s | had 42 combined elands Kannada put up |
s | more than half of those himself he was |
s | playing out of his mind making sure he |
s | got a bunch of heavy Snipes looking for |
s | people on rotation and on top of that he |
s | was enabling Alex and t4u to get into |
s | spots where they can angle and just do |
s | the IG yelling and the one big thing to |
s | like just shout out to Turner being able |
s | to like kind of buckle down get it going |
s | on not streaming through there but take |
s | the first place and knew it meant a lot |
s | to him personally |
s | and it's going to be interesting to see |
s | who ends up playing with who in the |
s | finals know that trade deadline is |
s | coming up speaking of changing names |
s | finally in na west we see familiar names |
s | in tee foo mongrel and bugga but it's |
s | actually the trio of scented edgy and |
s | Rex under different aliases yeah I mean |
s | they've just been kind of mopping up |
s | over there this is now their eighth |
s | first place finish across all of the |
s | cash cups in the semifinals and the |
s | finals they won three of the five |
s | overall fmcs titles there they're 12 |
s | points clear of second place they scored |
s | 130 points and nine matches and I mean |
s | it's really is this is a case of catch |
s | up every single other team in trio like |
s | they're able to challenge them but when |
s | edgy Rex incented are playing the best |
s | they're make it look easy they're able |
s | to hold the high ground slay out |
s | whenever they lose it and |
s | when they do decide to go in a meadow |
s | where there is so many different threats |
s | to high ground control there's so many |
s | RPGs and shockwaves the fact that |
s | they're able to routinely hold it |
s | continue to press forward and then kind |
s | of mow down and disregard the rest of |
s | the lobby like being able to do that so |
s | consistently really shows they're on |
s | another level and while there might be a |
s | couple of teams who are able to |
s | challenge up for them it's really them |
s | against the rest of the world right now |
s | and that wraps up the recap and now |
s | we're on our way to finals make sure to |
s | tune in September 20th to the 22nd on |
s | fortnight calm /watch or in client as we |
s | crown our first ever season champions |
