| 39s | it's really good for for you know kind |
| 41s | of fans as well who kind of or players |
| 43s | who want to get into as mentioned before |
| 45s | that the community cup like kind of new |
| 46s | players as well it's great to kind of |
| 48s | start and try to find are these these |
| 49s | kind of other these other stories that |
| 51s | are kind of kicking off on a different |
| 52s | scene that you can follow too kind of |
| 53s | gives you kind of a broadest kind of |
| 55s | like overarching story of everything |

| 61s | earlier there's tons going on uh the |
| 63s | Collegiate space is an awesome |

| 68s | main core competitive but the cool thing |
| 70s | is there's that crossover so it's not |
| 72s | like one or the other is the only thing |

| 79s | enjoying is the solo Victory cash cups I |
| 81s | qualified to a couple of round twos if I |

| 93s | um those are a fun way to get involved |
| 95s | and kind of get a feel for it because |
| 96s | they're pretty quick and it's like a |

| 103s | two and that's like easiest for somebody |
| 106s | to to get through if you're just |
| 108s | starting out in fortnite all you got to |

| 156s | well with just just crazy Fortnight |
| 158s | because you have every every Victory |
| 160s | Royale gets you qualification for finals |
| 164s | I mean it's it's there's so much like |
| 166s | you know that you're on the line there |
| 167s | you know you win a game you go through |
| 169s | we just talk about winnings everything |
| 170s | it really is in that space Also |
| 171s | consistency too I mean you guys watched |
| 174s | surge week you kind of saw the kind of |
| 175s | like the last chance to give a place to |
| 177s | get into Grand finals um what did you |
| 178s | make of the SVG what kind of some of the |
| 180s | highlights that stuck out for you |
| 181s | so I think the really interesting thing |
| 184s | about surge week is the top 40 players |
| 186s | are already in Grand finals and they're |
| 188s | kind of the ones that condition how |
| 190s | lobbies play out so this is like a brand |
| 192s | new way to look at the game because you |
| 195s | know all these other players are now |
| 196s | trying to get their feet in these |
| 198s | lobbies where you may have been Landing |
| 200s | a different spot but then you realize oh |
| 202s | you know this team's no longer there or |
| 204s | after someone wins a match because they |
| 206s | qualify then you know okay boom I can |
| 209s | land to that spot but other teams have |
| 210s | the same idea so it's like this really |
| 212s | dynamic |
| 213s | type of fortnite which is so cool to see |
| 217s | and it's on a constant basis some of the |
| 219s | big names had to qualify through search |
| 222s | week and you know even some of the big |
| 223s | names that had to qualify didn't qualify |
| 226s | so it's a very difficult task regardless |
| 229s | of who you are and I don't know it leads |
| 232s | to some fun games to watch |
| 234s | it's the most fun I've probably had ever |
| 238s | watching fortnite just watching like the |
| 240s | the reboot round now like surge week |
| 242s | kind of environment where either you win |
| 244s | a game or you go through consistency and |
| 247s | that's where the hype is it's and even |
| 250s | like we saw in the final game of n a |
| 252s | where we saw Diego plays who was already |
| 256s | in consistency qualification range up |
| 259s | against a team of scented and favs who |
| 261s | had just barely made their way into the |
| 263s | surge week and just going Toe to Toe |
| 266s | like all right whoever wins this goes on |
| 268s | into the grand finals and then it just |
| 271s | boom shatters glass below |
| 274s | I know I know and you see I mean that's |
| 276s | one of the amazing things I think we saw |
| 278s | uh Brazilian triple Champion GSX who |
| 280s | managed to go to on consistency and |
| 281s | points as well but then you see on EU we |
| 283s | had hen and Paco who hadn't I think 13 |
| 285s | different fncs finals appearances |
| 288s | doesn't qualify and it's and it's just a |
| 290s | matter of points but I guess it's kind |
| 293s | of everyone has to go for broken that |
| 294s | kind of scenario right SVG you know when |
| 296s | it comes to surgery you kind of |
| 297s | sometimes do have to kind of switch up |
| 298s | lights because you know how important it |
| 300s | is to get to that number one spot in one |
| 303s | of the five games available and it's |
| 305s | it's sad to see some fell at the Wayside |
| 306s | but that just goes to prove a point here |
| 308s | as well about how competitive each |
| 310s | region is now particularly with yeah |
| 311s | with n a now kind of combining nae and |
| 313s | West you kind of have such a such a |
| 315s | Melting Pot of so many good Duos |
| 319s | um it kind of you know just goes to show |
| 320s | how you know how tricky it is to qualify |
| 322s | and how the best of the best really are |
| 323s | the greatest in that particular region |
| 326s | yeah and you know ideally you don't want |
| 329s | to have to play through search week |
| 330s | because we've seen the volatility that |
| 332s | it leads to and I think everyone going |
| 335s | into surgery has to have that same |
| 337s | mentality of just playing for |
| 339s | consistency because you have to get to |
| 340s | end games in order to even qualify so |
| 343s | like you can't go in being like I'm just |
| 345s | gonna win a game I feel like that's a |
| 347s | bad strategy you have to think okay I'm |
| 349s | gonna consistently make it to end game |
| 351s | if I get an opportunity I'm gonna try |
| 353s | and win and and we've seen those plays |
| 355s | there's a lot of teams like in the past |
| 357s | a player like macwood is someone like |
| 359s | historically has been great at winning |
| 361s | games and he's done so through a surge |
| 363s | week style format then we have other |
| 366s | teams like a floaty flokey Clement over |
| 369s | in Europe the Frenchies that have been |
| 371s | able to consistently prove okay I don't |
| 374s | care what challenge is ahead of me I am |
| 376s | prepared for this task being able to win |
| 378s | a game and move themselves over but you |
| 380s | know on the other hand there are teams |
| 381s | like scented and favs that some of the |
| 384s | winningest most regular others in an |
| 386s | fncs grants in N A now are just going to |
| 389s | fall just short and you talked about it |
| 391s | last just that head-to-head with Diego |
| 393s | plays that one last shot could have gone |
| 396s | either way and that that's the hype |
| 398s | moments that surge week brings us and |
| 401s | especially like you mentioned like these |
| 403s | are two for those of you that don't know |
| 405s | who favs or scented or maybe you just |
| 407s | know a little bit but don't know like |
| 409s | the full scope of why A Moment Like That |
| 411s | was so important scented has an average |
| 414s | placement of 15.6 in all of the I |
| 417s | believe 15 grand finals he's ever made |
| 419s | and then fast has three fncs |
| 422s | championships which is just insane to |
| 424s | see a team of that caliber not qualify |
| 428s | and I'd be interested to see whether or |
| 430s | not like we see a team like a queasy |
| 432s | Vino for example that's amazing at |
| 435s | winning games just like maybe have a |
| 438s | down first three weeks and then they |
| 439s | have to go through the surge week I'd |
| 441s | imagine they just go through first game |
| 443s | though and like 12 elims and they just |
| 445s | take on the VR and then they're like all |
| 446s | right we can just sit back relax now |
| 449s | I mean there were 70s on EU uh I think |
| 451s | it was Vico Vico and Kylie |
| 453s | um a Duo as well who I think I think I |
| 455s | think had five I think between that five |
| 457s | different surge weak qualifications |
| 460s | um through but sadly can I fell at the |
| 462s | last hurdle here at this particular |
| 464s | um surge week which is you know sad to |
| 466s | see again but again proving that even |
| 468s | with that kind of I guess when it comes |
| 470s | down to kind of about the likes of surge |
| 471s | week it is okay so you know if if it's |
| 474s | right all right on the night and it goes |
| 476s | in your favor thing you know you go you |
| 478s | know you go through the next round I |
| 479s | think a lot of times as well you see |
| 480s | that different pois sometimes might be |
| 482s | contested or might be otherwise but |
| 483s | contestants I mean one of the teams you |
| 485s | know in your particular kind of poi that |
| 487s | you drop out is qualifies the next round |
| 488s | it does open that whole kind of part of |
| 490s | the map up as well so things that ever |
| 491s | change I think players having to adapt |
| 493s | on the flyers or SVG is you have to give |
| 496s | them credit as well because so much can |
| 497s | be thrown at you at surge week and you |
| 499s | have to roll with the punches |
| 500s | and regardless of how the games play out |
| 503s | like you have to come ready with a |
| 505s | strategy you may not know exactly how |
| 507s | the drop map is going to turn out |
| 509s | because some players may be switching up |
| 511s | after game one game two every single |
| 514s | game |
| 515s | so coming in with a ready game plan to |
| 519s | be able to take over in these is huge |
| 522s | and understanding how you and your |
| 523s | teammate are going to play |
| 525s | um is so key and you know a lot of teams |
| 529s | think High Ground is the only way that I |
| 532s | can win games but honestly it wasn't the |
| 534s | only way the teams won games and more |
| 536s | often than not it seems like the teams |
| 538s | that took height early wound up being |
| 540s | the teams that didn't win so you know it |
| 542s | does get you some consistency there but |
| 544s | if you're trying to win games finding |
| 546s | these load of mid-ground layers is going |
| 548s | to be the key to that success at least |
| 551s | in my opinion and in the current meta |
| 553s | and one of the Duos here I want a |
| 555s | spotlight from EU has got to be Mappy |
| 558s | and I drop because this is a Duo that |
| 561s | have been absolute veterans in the space |
| 563s | like for I drop he's been playing since |
| 566s | literal day one competitive and Mappy is |
| 569s | a little bit of a sort of newer face |
| 572s | similar to like a malibuco where he |
| 573s | recently started popping up like as a |
| 576s | huge name and they made it all the way |
| 579s | down to the final game on EU but they |
| 582s | were playing like super consistent to |
| 585s | the point where you wouldn't imagine hey |
| 587s | this team's gonna come down to the final |
| 589s | game of surge week and they closed it |
| 593s | out on the wire but the fact that they |
| 595s | pulled out so many incredible plays |
| 597s | throughout the day as well to lead up to |
| 599s | that point was honestly the definition |
| 601s | of why the surge weak format is just |
| 603s | amazing and then if we just shift over |
| 606s | to n a real quick we had the last fncs |
| 610s | champion of Na West not like last season |
| 613s | this is the last n a West fncs winner |
| 616s | now that the Regents have combined thork |
| 618s | and bolts had to qualify through search |
| 620s | weekend man Boltz put the team on his |
| 623s | back though and just absolutely went on |
| 627s | a tear I think he had six elims as a |
| 630s | solo in one game during the end game got |
| 632s | a great placement so you know while it |
| 636s | shouldn't be done as a Duo and that's |
| 638s | how I would advise someone to play you |
| 641s | have to be able to in the moment take |
| 644s | over and you know just push yourself in |
| 646s | your team well beyond where you should |
| 648s | because bolts had no business getting as |
| 651s | many points as he did in that game he |
| 653s | was going crazy going crazy popping off |
| 657s | flash popping off my friend uh which was |
| 659s | yeah and that's the great thing about |
| 660s | surgery we saw so many teams qualify |
| 662s | some some felt there but others made up |
| 664s | our teams going through to each region |
| 666s | 50 Duos in each is going to be electric |
| 667s | to see and we should talk about Grand |
| 670s | finals because they are imminent I mean |
| 672s | fncs Grand finals Chapter Four Season |
| 674s | Two uh we have got ourselves a mighty |
| 677s | meaty two days of actually 12 games six |
| 680s | per day |
| 681s | um it's gonna be I mean as it is every |
| 683s | single season it gets it gets so |
| 685s | exciting because 12 games as well it I |
| 688s | mean can we talk about consistency with |
| 689s | points but consistency just in general |
| 691s | I've been getting I mean there's so much |
| 693s | to think about and digest when it comes |
| 694s | down to Grand finals you know they're |
| 695s | kind of like how they ride out storm |
| 697s | surge getting into and you know the end |
| 699s | game kind of you know each of the storms |
| 700s | pois being contested versus uncontested |
| 703s | so many factors and across 12 games SPG |
| 705s | it really kind of does it does kind of |
| 707s | separate the the teams that kind of rise |
| 709s | the top of the leaderboard and away from |
| 711s | those at the bottom as well so so many |
| 713s | factors to consider yeah and whether or |
| 715s | not we're going to talk about |
| 716s | consistency there's one thing that's for |
| 718s | sure |
| 719s | Cuisine Vino are going to win a game at |
| 722s | some point probably two during a 12 game |
| 724s | format they're like almost guaranteed I |

| 728s | it is incredible at what rate these |
| 731s | teams can win a game and I don't know |
| 733s | that there's anyone even close to them |
| 735s | but their problem is they go for this |
| 738s | winning game play style which then kind |
| 741s | of leads them to have inconsistencies in |
| 743s | their game although in Europe I kind of |
| 746s | see them mustache and Tayson and then uh |
| 749s | I'm gonna get this right Cami and seti |
| 751s | almost almost did it but I didn't |
| 755s | um those three are kind of the standouts |
| 757s | in uh Europe at least for me this fncs |
| 761s | and for for Cammy and seti they've |
| 763s | recently just won the week three finals |
| 766s | as well so they're they're coming in |
| 768s | pretty hot now it's just a matter of |
| 770s | like all right did this week between |
| 772s | week three and then the surge week |
| 775s | really played that much of a hindrance |
| 777s | as far as like consistency because we |
| 780s | bring up a point time and time again of |
| 782s | how much confidence and how much getting |
| 785s | on a roll in fortnite really matters and |
| 788s | we saw it from Cuisine Vino before the |
| 790s | fncs Invitational that they were winning |
| 792s | cash Cup on top of cash cup the elite |
| 795s | weekly Cup finals and they were just on |
| 798s | a roll and it showed like you mentioned |
| 800s | Victor royale's there I believe they got |
| 802s | three during the Invitational last year |
| 803s | so maybe they start to clean up what |
| 807s | that had happened in last major and |
| 809s | major number one because they had gotten |
| 811s | eighth place hopefully we see a team |
| 813s | like Wheezy they don't you know qualify |
| 815s | for that Global Championship as well |
| 817s | and one of the cool things about |
| 819s | watching queasy and Veno this season and |
| 822s | hearing them on an interview during the |
| 824s | broadcast was talking about how they've |
| 826s | shifted who takes over during the end |
| 828s | game it used to be queasy it was the |
| 830s | hard igl pretty much the entire time so |
| 833s | he would lead the duo from step one all |
| 836s | the way until the end of the game but |
| 837s | now Veno has kind of taken over during |
| 839s | those end game periods and I think we've |
| 842s | seen the success from them being able to |
| 844s | remain consistent I don't know exactly |
| 846s | what it is but one it doesn't hurt to |
| 849s | have two igls on your team that |
| 851s | understand what's going on and then two |
| 853s | having the ability to have |
| 856s | arguably the best Fragger maybe the best |
| 859s | player in the world leads you during end |
| 861s | game and Veno and see him just continue |
| 864s | to excel because pretty much since you |
| 867s | know about a year ago he's only gotten |
| 870s | better and that is really scary for |
| 872s | everybody else in that Lobby absolutely |
| 875s | when we speak about those those Duos |
| 877s | right you speak uh best igl best Fragger |
| 881s | EU but then you swap on over to n a and |
| 884s | the reigning NA East fncs major one |
| 887s | champions of acorn cold that I've seen |
| 890s | it all over the time like all right this |
| 892s | is probably the best igl in the region |
| 894s | and best Fragger on the region and |
| 897s | they're just going all in all the time |
| 899s | and they have truly shown it so far this |
| 902s | season time and time again like I've |
| 905s | been all over acorns Twitter he recently |
| 909s | has moved from 60 ping of what it was a |
| 913s | little bit closer on NA East to now zero |
| 915s | ping alongside cold as well as their |
| 918s | performances that have already racked up |
| 920s | countless countless first places and now |
| 924s | they're both on zero ping winning |

| 928s | yes I mean they are I mean they are one |
| 932s | of the teams like it's absolutely in |
| 933s | contention as you mentioned going into |
| 935s | this with a real hot streak The |

| 982s | dropping like eight plus elims playing |
| 985s | low ground getting third or better in |
| 988s | games and I I see bugen threats as a |
| 991s | team that should be like right below |

| 999s | that I've seen the ability for bugen |

| 1037s | one though on another team that's just |
| 1039s | to the right of them currently on the |
| 1041s | drop map of endpen and polarize and |
| 1043s | folks if you haven't really heard much |
| 1045s | of this Duo it's because well npen has |
| 1048s | been well known as a player that has |
| 1051s | done very well back in the past but has |
| 1054s | also had his downfalls of like a bottom |
| 1057s | five in an fncs Grand Final but since |
| 1060s | major one last season from having a |
| 1063s | second place on day two of the grand |
| 1065s | finals alongside Baila now alongside |
| 1067s | polarized and the way that npen |
| 1071s | explained like their Duo kind of |
| 1072s | chemistry is that he doesn't have a |
| 1075s | leash on him at all like polarize will |
| 1077s | do what polarize does and that is just |
| 1080s | be one of the best fighters in this |
| 1082s | Lobby it's just a matter of the |
| 1084s | spotlight that's been given on polarized |
| 1086s | has been a little bit of a shadow cast |
| 1089s | if you will because well he's a massive |
| 1092s | content creator in his own right so when |
| 1094s | they combine together together you have |
| 1096s | two great content creators as well as |
| 1098s | competitors at over towards kinjutsu |
| 1101s | Crossing in that same area and they're |
| 1103s | hot they've had a second place in week |
| 1105s | two I believe in those weekly finals so |

| 1464s | knowledge backtracking of earlier in the |

| 1509s | hearing the calls between uh I believe |
| 1512s | it was I believe it was courage on the |
| 1515s | call alongside Lupo and hearing that |
| 1517s | like nostalgic kind of feeling in that |
| 1520s | moment obviously wasn't nostalgic then |
| 1522s | but now to kind of think back in those |
| 1525s | moments that was like what really got me |
| 1527s | hooked and it was initially competitive |
| 1530s | it's interesting I mean yeah so that's I |
| 1532s | mean that's a really lovely thing to say |
| 1533s | as well in fact you you watched it and |
| 1535s | that's kind of like that kind of |
| 1536s | incentivize you to pick it up and play |
| 1538s | the game because I think that's a that's |
| 1540s | the great thing I guess about the about |
| 1541s | fortnite in general over the years as |
| 1543s | well and if you're a newer player and |
| 1545s | you know kind of new to the kind of the |
| 1546s | fortnite you know kind of space and game |

| 1551s | of a lot of characters over the years a |
| 1553s | lot of personalities in fact we've been |
| 1554s | so fortunate to have so many in fortnite |
| 1557s | in general kind of like enticing us kind |
| 1559s | of like keeping us entertained and |
| 1560s | that's what I love about like finals as |
| 1562s | well when it comes you know kind of |
| 1563s | they're more kind of like tier one |
| 1565s | competitive kind of um yeah all the |
| 1567s | competitions there are so many but we've |
| 1569s | talked about the kind of like their |
| 1570s | backstories and kind of where they tend |
| 1572s | to drop POI wise and what they tend to |
| 1573s | where yeah where they tend to go and |
| 1575s | Duo's flip-flop all the time and new |
| 1576s | Duos kind of form they change up some |
| 1579s | stick together we talked about Cami and |
| 1580s | seti been together for as long as I can |
| 1582s | remember whereas others kind of change |
| 1584s | you know on the Fly I love that about |
| 1586s | the fact there are so many kind of |
| 1587s | characters and big and big EO kind of |
| 1589s | players that we kind of we've seen them |
| 1590s | do such big things and it's so fun to |
| 1592s | watch and there have been so many over |
| 1593s | the course of the last however many |
| 1595s | years since fortnite first came out |
| 1596s | there we're still blessed to see it |
