Since season 9 my friend and I have noticed this bug in PS4 where you don't hear the footsteps behind you and suddenly you get shoot in the back with the enemy being super close at distances where normally you can hear the footsteps, as soon as the enemy fire the steps can be hear as usual. After playing more games we manage to "conclude" that the issue was always with the sound that is supposed to be behind you, I also activated the icons of audio in accessibility and the icon don't show either in those cases. Is not a super common thing; like 1 in 20 let's say, but it has been something very annoying for us in this past week. Don't know if is relevant or pure coincidence but the weapon that the other player is using when this has happened to me is the combat shotgun. Sorry I can't provide more info or a way to reproduce it.
