[2022] getting 15 FPS around Chrome POIs

whenever I look at chrome filled POIs (mainly poi that replaced sanctuary) my fps drops to 15-25, and is unable to go back to normal until I look away. Previously, I averaged 60-70 fps when near these areas (Samsung Galaxy Tab S7). Is there any insight on why this is happening?
