| 323s | you both it's been a long time I'm very |
| 326s | happy you're both here we've got a great |

| 332s | howdy Adam it's definitely been a hot |
| 334s | minute man i' I've missed you for real |
| 336s | monster 2 of course but got to see this |
| 339s | guy a little bit more recently than |
| 341s | yourself and man it's just been awesome |
| 343s | been loving everything as far as |
| 345s | fortnite OG is concerned and exploring |
| 348s | all the new stuff that's been coming out |
| 350s | or I guess I should say some of the old |
| 352s | but you know what I'm getting out here |
| 353s | yeah it's been a it's been a crazy week |
| 355s | man and we are back it's my first time |
| 356s | jumping on the draw spot as well you |
| 358s | know from always working behind behind |
| 360s | the scenes I always got my eyes on |
| 361s | what's going on here and uh yeah it's |
| 363s | it's a pleasure to be here and like taco |
| 364s | said we were just hanging out at the |
| 367s | global Championship what a time to be |
| 369s | alive to watch that entire event unfold |
| 370s | in person real in true Adam celebratory |
| 373s | way to close out the year yeah I mean |
| 376s | tell us everything I obviously we heard |
| 378s | your voices casting the finals the last |
| 380s | games before kind of we saw mirror and |
| 381s | cop you know take take the the victory |
| 383s | the Royale for reals um what was it like |
| 386s | being there what was the kind of the |
| 387s | atmosphere like like Tak what was what |
| 388s | was the experience like being there at |
| 390s | globals in Copenhagen honestly man I can |
| 393s | almost still hear it in my brain getting |
| 395s | to experience that audience while you |
| 398s | are commentating over because again |
| 401s | getting that honor to do my first |
| 404s | fortnite Finals cast with monster I just |
| 407s | felt so alive in that venue man it was |
| 412s | it was honestly just probably one of the |
| 413s | best experiences both commentary and |
| 415s | just like even if I look at it from like |
| 418s | the moments where I wasn't commentating |
| 420s | I just still just had an awesome time |
| 422s | just getting to watch the Expressions on |
| 425s | everybody else because the gaster booth |
| 426s | was honestly what it was all about we |
| 427s | had the best seat in the entire venue |
| 431s | yeah and that halftime show was |
| 433s | literally on fire you can feel the heat |
| 435s | emulating off some of the uh know |
| 437s | fireworks and the and the theatrics that |
| 439s | was going down on the stage So Not only |
| 441s | was you know the Gameplay at the peak of |
| 443s | its performance but um the actual |
| 445s | halftime show that they they had sort |
| 447s | out was amazing by two two friends you |
| 450s | know and it was just special I'm very |
| 453s | happy though Adam that I got to do a |
| 454s | little bit of fan service too I jumped |
| 456s | down into kind of the the floor area and |
| 458s | we did a whole bunch of you know meet |
| 459s | and greets and kind of impromptu |
| 461s | signings and it was just a wonderful |
| 463s | thing to see you know all the all the |
| 465s | families and friends come on up and take |
| 467s | photos and know be able to do signings |
| 469s | and whatnot so really really was a |
| 471s | special time just you know gameplay |
| 472s | aside a I mean it must have been awesome |
| 476s | I mean I think i' speak on behalf of |
| 477s | everyone listening or watching around |
| 478s | the world right now that we have m |
| 479s | massive fomo all of us did we weren't |
| 482s | there we all wish we were there uh it |
| 484s | looked it looked absolutely amazing but |
| 486s | for anyone listening and watching right |
| 488s | now we've got a great show planned for |
| 490s | you loads and loads of things to talk |
| 491s | about we mentioned OG already we're |
| 493s | talking all about fortnite OG of course |
| 495s | our overall thoughts as the season kind |
| 497s | of comes to an end here and we look |
| 498s | ahead to the next chapter we got types |
| 500s | of tournaments to talk about loads of |
| 502s | things happening they're discussing meta |
| 503s | and results as well as comparing each of |
| 505s | the four chapters looking ahead to the |
| 507s | next on chapter five and 202 Awards we |
| 510s | kind of play play some fun stuff here |
| 511s | with our quiz and kind of you have some |
| 513s | fun kind of talking about who we think |
| 514s | kind of might take Community Awards |
| 517s | later on this year as well but let's |
| 518s | let's kick things off guys you know |
| 520s | fortnite OG has been it's been it's been |
| 522s | a riot like I I I was there today I I I |
| 524s | dabbled in a few games I was jet packing |
| 526s | I was air striking I was living the |
| 527s | dream I was using the Ballers it was it |
| 529s | was it was amazing it was so much fun we |
| 531s | can we say this every single week on the |
| 532s | show we do a show here it's it's just |
| 534s | such a a great time to play the game um |
| 537s | what are you going to miss T what what |
| 538s | what are you going to miss from OG that |
| 540s | you've enjoyed so much probably or I |
| 543s | shouldn't say probably easily my most |
| 545s | favorite part about OG Edition fortnite |
| 548s | has just been getting to relive that |
| 550s | tilted Towers experience because |
| 553s | initially when I was first doing the hot |
| 555s | jobs into the Tilted it wasn't as |
| 556s | popping as I was initially hoping it was |
| 558s | going to be and then things kind of just |
| 560s | picked up out of nowhere over the next |
| 561s | couple of days when I actually started |
| 563s | just continuously spam dropping and then |
| 566s | obviously I also had to go back to my |
| 567s | home rots greasy Grove I am always a |
| 569s | massive fan girl of that POI but tilted |
| 572s | has been an awesome time and especially |
| 574s | with the grappler things can get kind of |
| 576s | crazy when you're actually dropping hot |
| 579s | yeah and and for me Adam I mean like I I |
| 582s | wouldn't have thought that going back in |
| 584s | time to play the original map was going |
| 585s | to feel so incredible on the new game |
| 588s | mechanics the sprinting the mantling |
| 590s | right almost experiencing the thing we |
| 592s | experienced before but in a totally much |
| 594s | more enhanced way but what I'm going to |
| 597s | miss the most honestly is the ballers |
| 599s | you know there's something about just |
| 600s | being able to sit on the side of a |
| 602s | mountain zip away from a about it's like |
| 604s | a a in a game that's so chaotic one of |
| 607s | those I can have a chill game dude yeah |
| 609s | exactly I could decide if I want to |
| 611s | battle I could get from point A to point |
| 612s | B so easily but more importantly I'm |
| 614s | protected in my little spear so um yeah |
| 617s | I love the ball is being a rotation I |
| 618s | know it's not the most um let's call it |
| 620s | competitive item or anything like that |
| 622s | but hey I'm not a no one's way no one |
| 624s | gets in my way and I'm happy look as far |
| 626s | as I'm concerned it's been a celebration |
| 629s | of what has been been an unbelievable |
| 630s | you know kind of last like six six years |
| 633s | of this fantastic game that we've we've |
| 635s | we've embraced really and kind of like a |
| 636s | look ahead to what's what's to come mean |
| 638s | what I'd love you both your thoughts |
| 639s | here as well you know let's let's say |
| 641s | for instance that the the for OG map did |
| 642s | stick around in some capacity do do you |
| 644s | think it do you would you like to see it |
| 646s | kind of like still there to be able to |
| 647s | play an AIS or do you think it's |
| 648s | something that we should just say we had |
| 650s | a great time we've enjoyed our time with |
| 651s | it but let's put it back in the vault |
| 653s | let's put it away and let's let's look |
| 654s | ahead to the Future and the new things |
| 655s | coming out our way uh Taco what what |
| 657s | what what's your Vibe on this personally |
| 659s | wouldn't be opposed to seeing this map |
| 662s | not necessarily as a permanent fixture |
| 664s | but as more of like a rotation cycle of |
| 666s | sorts I think that it's really cool |
| 669s | seeing so many players want to kind of |
| 671s | revisit and like reminisce essentially |
| 674s | on this OG edition of fortnite and I |
| 677s | actually love the fact that monster even |
| 678s | referenced the fact that we are getting |
| 680s | to experience OG fortnite but with the |
| 682s | updated mechanics because honestly |
| 684s | running around this map I could not even |
| 687s | imagine not having the ability to a |
| 689s | mantle or even just using you know slide |
| 692s | effects and I I just don't understand |
| 695s | how we ever managed back then but having |
| 699s | that newness now with some of the old |
| 702s | bits of nostalgia that are included I do |
| 704s | think that it is a peak version of |
| 707s | fortnite that is really fun to kind of |
| 709s | relive and and that's just a thing right |
| 711s | if you love the game then you really |
| 713s | like it now right it's so much more |
| 715s | polished we're on the new Unreal Engine |
| 717s | uh so much more is going for it um I I |
| 719s | do think though it would be cool to see |
| 722s | the game mode have its own permanent |
| 724s | kind of setting it's very clear Gamers |
| 726s | want to play this game or this version |
| 728s | of fortnite OG fortnite there's |
| 730s | something so special about it but I |
| 731s | think that's what creative is for um |
| 734s | it's it's going to always be here |
| 735s | especially now creators are going to see |
| 737s | that there is so much interest around |
| 739s | being able to build this world and house |
| 741s | it somewhere where folks are going to |
| 742s | want to come in play so I want to see |
| 744s | the game continue I want to jump into |
| 746s | whatever comes next the next Evolution |
| 748s | right who knows what is the next thing |
| 750s | fortnite has in in store for us and I'd |
| 752s | say put put fortnite in the vault put |
| 755s | the OG fortnite put in the creative |
| 757s | Vault right where you can pick it up you |
| 759s | can play the modes if you want but I |
| 761s | want the I want the main game the main |
| 762s | stay to just evolve okay for you guys at |
| 766s | home as well you know drop us a comment |

| 786s | kind a real highlight that that you kind |
| 788s | of you you always think back to thinking |
| 790s | that was a good time I enjoyed myself |
| 791s | that was a good time I mean are you |
| 793s | speaking specifically towards like OG |
| 795s | Edition fortnite or is this like any |
| 797s | chapter is kind of up for grabs here I'm |
| 799s | going to say anything up for grabs you |
| 801s | you go you go you go wild here enjoy it |

| 805s | Taco absolutely valid it um I mean |
| 808s | obviously I I think one of the most |
| 811s | pivotal moments as far as fortnite is |
| 812s | concerned that's always going to stick |
| 813s | out of my brain was the first time that |
| 815s | I watched the world cup action that was |
| 818s | taking place seeing everybody that was |
| 820s | competing back then in Duos and solos |
| 823s | knowing the kind of Gauntlet that they |
| 825s | had had to go through to even get to |
| 827s | that World Cup stage it was just a |
| 830s | phenomenal moment I think and really |
| 832s | cemented fortnite as a competitive game |
| 834s | in my eyes and so from a viewer |
| 836s | experience that was awesome but I think |
| 840s | a more updated experience for me now |
| 841s | that I'm on the the commentary side |
| 843s | getting to join the wonderful fortnite |
| 845s | family you know chapter 3 season 3 that |
| 847s | was my starting point when it came to |
| 850s | the realm of fortnite and I've |
| 852s | absolutely loved it because while it's |
| 854s | always awesome remembering and having |
| 856s | seen what was taking place back in the |
| 859s | day looking at how the stage or the |
| 862s | evolution essentially of competitive |
| 864s | play in fortnite over the years and you |
| 866s | can definitely just tell how much the |
| 868s | game has evolved as a whole just how |
| 870s | high the competitive threshold has |
| 873s | become and it's like a whole new |
| 875s | standard that's basically been set forth |
| 877s | from I would say Pros that were |
| 880s | established back then in World Cup days |
| 882s | and some of them well not many of them |
| 883s | but the ones that are around now awesome |
| 886s | but also knowing that it doesn't |
| 888s | necessarily have to be a solidified Pro |
| 891s | Player anybody and everybody can be |
| 894s | eligible technically speaking because of |
| 896s | the way that fortnite competitive Works |
| 898s | to try and make their own name in the |
| 901s | scene and I think that that is just such |
| 903s | a cool aspect of relatability that can |
| 905s | be really difficult to achieve and and |
| 907s | I've all just seeing all the new players |
| 909s | that have come forth because of it and |
| 911s | seeing the ones that have been around |
| 913s | how they continue to evolve yeah and you |
| 916s | know just to kind of piggyback on that I |
| 918s | I was quite literally there right the |
| 920s | first weeks of this game entering into |
| 922s | its competitive ecosystem dating back |
| 925s | now a lot of folks don't realize I have |
| 927s | a lot of earnings in fortnite I was |
| 929s | professional player at some point or |
| 931s | another really starting out with |
| 932s | everyone else you know just trying to |
| 934s | understand what is comp um I kind of |
| 936s | jumped in on accident so yeah if I had |
| 938s | to choose an absolute favorite season |
| 940s | I'm gonna always have bias to the early |
| 942s | days our first in-person events at you |
| 945s | know twitchcon watching you know T and |
| 947s | closy kind of poised up in celebration I |
| 949s | mean shoot even Zeke was on that stage |
| 951s | uh as they came out with the DJ llama |
| 954s | kind of doing his thing up there um very |
| 956s | very fun times but to jump in into where |
| 959s | I I kind of realized okay fortnite isn't |
| 962s | going anywhere this game has legs and I |
| 964s | think it's going to be here for years to |
| 965s | come come chapter 2 the collaborations |
| 969s | the mythics that started getting |
| 970s | introduced to the game the entire |
| 972s | ecosystem that we see fortnite almost |
| 974s | the the the universe fortnite has tried |
| 977s | to create really begin to come to life |
| 979s | began around that chapter 2 time the |
| 981s | Stark agency and and the introduction of |
| 983s | mythics and all that good stuff so um I |
| 986s | think that was probably my my favorite |
| 987s | time there were some truly chaotic |
| 990s | moments I remember seeing clips of |
| 991s | everyone trying to land in at the agency |
| 994s | to kind of claim that area and get the |
| 995s | Mythic drum gun so there were some |
| 997s | really good times there were some some |
| 999s | highs and some lows but all in all it's |
| 1001s | nothing but great memories especially in |
| 1003s | those early days so that that's kind of |
| 1004s | what has made this this last month very |
| 1006s | special the whole OG season because you |
| 1008s | never really know what you know Season |
| 1011s | we're going to jump into week to week |
| 1012s | with the transition so I'm still keeping |
| 1014s | my eyes on him yeah I I yeah I I think |
| 1017s | memories that's the best part about we |
| 1019s | we Nostalgia we kind of use that term a |
| 1021s | lot here and kind of thinking back to |
| 1022s | what was then and kind of you replaying |
| 1024s | likes of things now but I think you're |
| 1026s | right I think I think thinking back to |
| 1027s | the kind of moments that kind of you |
| 1028s | know where where we were then where |
| 1030s | we've gotten to now and kind of those a |
| 1032s | competitive standpoint as well I |
| 1033s | remember when kind of World Cup was |
| 1035s | announced I remember seeing I remember |
| 1036s | watching you online moner I remember |
| 1038s | seeing you kind of thinking that here we |
| 1040s | are you know incred it's incredible |
| 1042s | stuff you kind of the friendships over |
| 1043s | time there's there's so much to kind of |
| 1044s | like you know to to smile about I always |
| 1046s | put to smile on my face thinking about |
| 1047s | these kind of things you know I was |
| 1050s | gonna say Adam you know people don't |
| 1051s | realize that I had to fly back and forth |
| 1053s | to California every single weekend to |
| 1057s | make those Studio shows it was a a |
| 1059s | sacrifice true for uh for us as Talent |
| 1062s | members but hey you know again looking |
| 1064s | back at it it wouldn't trade it for the |
| 1066s | world it was it was quite the time to be |
| 1068s | in the in the |
| 1069s | scene monster we all have to start |
| 1071s | somewhere they fly to California every |
| 1073s | week is where we had to start then then |
| 1074s | we have to we have to do these things we |
| 1076s | have to do them um I wish I could do |
| 1078s | that it almost sounds kind of funny when |
| 1080s | he says it like that like yeah you know |
| 1081s | I just made such a sacrifice flying back |
| 1084s | and forth yeah I fly to California every |
| 1086s | week I mean I mean I mean I mean you |
| 1089s | think about that time as well like from |
| 1091s | a competitive landscape kind of |
| 1092s | standpoint as well things have evolv |
| 1095s | naturally like do you do you kind of see |
| 1096s | that kind of they're being a big |
| 1098s | evolution tackle like do you think |
| 1099s | there's been a way in which things have |
| 1101s | have grown in different areas and how |
| 1103s | you've seen kind of like you players |
| 1104s | attitudes towards it how do you think |
| 1106s | it's kind of evolved uh since kind of |
| 1109s | day do really man it it just really |
| 1111s | feels like the skill ceiling just when |
| 1114s | you think that they're about to touch |
| 1117s | the top somebody just finds a new way to |
| 1120s | kind of break through and just create a |
| 1122s | whole another layer to the competitive |
| 1124s | level of play and I think that a lot of |
| 1126s | that is just credited to the fact that |
| 1128s | you kind of have to be fast on the Fly |
| 1130s | you see so much quick adaptation coming |
| 1134s | from the pros of today and especially |
| 1136s | even with some of the newcomers that |
| 1137s | again trying to break break into the |
| 1139s | scene it's really interesting because |
| 1142s | you don't really get that opportunity |
| 1144s | super often in competitive games and so |
| 1147s | with fortnite I think that it's just |
| 1149s | sick that you'll see these like kids |
| 1151s | that just you know they find a new way |
| 1153s | to work their way up and I don't want to |
| 1155s | call it exploits either it's just when |
| 1157s | you're playing at the highest level the |
| 1160s | sole purpose usually is just find what |
| 1162s | is the most effective methods to |
| 1165s | consistently place you know and find |
| 1167s | those Victory Royals over and over and |
| 1168s | over again so you can put yourself in a |
| 1170s | position to I guess essentially threaten |
| 1172s | the top of the leaderboards for all |
| 1174s | these events and tournaments that take |
| 1175s | place and so yeah I I would expect that |
| 1178s | things are just going to keep charging |
| 1180s | up because these guys are creative man |
| 1183s | and I think also that with ufn and the |
| 1185s | fact that there is the ability to get |
| 1187s | some new practice methods going as well |
| 1190s | that also just adds a whole another uh |
| 1193s | component for these guys to kind of |
| 1195s | compete |
| 1196s | through yeah yeah I mean you're |
| 1199s | absolutely right I think I think that's |
| 1200s | the U fn's Been a real big I've Lov |
| 1202s | seeing the kind of creative competitions |
| 1203s | come out as well I think there's lots of |
| 1204s | different ways though and you're right |
| 1206s | you can really kind of hone in and kind |
| 1207s | of grow in certain areas that you need |
| 1209s | to develop now because you can kind of |
| 1210s | create your own maps and do exactly that |
| 1212s | so it's just been amazing kind of seeing |
| 1213s | exactly how like you know players have |
| 1215s | kind of adapted new ones coming along |
| 1216s | that's that's the great thing that the |
| 1217s | veterans stick around they still are |
| 1219s | still delivering the goods and doing |
| 1220s | incredible things but it's always there |
| 1222s | kind of rising St of tomorrow was |
| 1224s | looking over your shoulder thinking okay |
| 1225s | this person this player is going to go |
| 1227s | far I can they got something about them |
| 1229s | they got something about them I mean |
| 1231s | speaking of players as well over the |
| 1233s | course of each of these chapters we've |
| 1234s | seen we've seen so many big names so |
| 1235s | many big stars of the kind of of the |
| 1237s | time period if you will uh and many have |
| 1239s | kind of gone to chapter to chapter |
| 1241s | remainder star the entire time but let's |
| 1243s | have some fun here for a second I know |
| 1244s | that everyone listening or watching this |
| 1245s | is going to love this too let's think |
| 1247s | about kind of like an Ultimate Dream |
| 1248s | Team let's say we're put together a |
| 1250s | dream Squad okay four four players that |
| 1253s | you think uh we're the best in each |
| 1255s | chapter and you can kind of name one |
| 1256s | each perhaps what you want to do let's |
| 1257s | kind of create like an Allstar lineup of |
| 1259s | like players of each of the chapters |
| 1261s | okaye let say chapter one first and |
| 1263s | foremost are the any which players would |
| 1265s | stick out for you I'll ask you first |
| 1266s | moner like which players Canna come to |
| 1268s | mind chapter one who would be in your |
| 1270s | dream team baby listen I'm gonna go back |
| 1273s | I'm gonna go back in time I'm going to |
| 1274s | think right look at all the prizing that |
| 1277s | was available in chapter one if I had to |
| 1279s | pick someone to stand right alongside me |
| 1281s | and literally carry me to Victory it |
| 1284s | would probably be Prime Time Mong girl |
| 1287s | I'm talking about when he was so far in |
| 1289s | ahead of mechanics this is when EU in |
| 1292s | particular was the best literal dominant |
| 1295s | region really um solidifying their |
| 1297s | reputation as the best fighters in the |
| 1299s | world uh and that's when like Prime Time |
| 1301s | came out he was explosive I I |
| 1304s | probably pick him up as my du mate and |
| 1306s | if not him hey hey Vivid dude I need I |
| 1310s | need those smarts man maybe I can get |
| 1312s | Vivid to put me from point A to point B |
| 1314s | Because Vivid figured out High Ground at |
| 1316s | a time and place where other other |
| 1318s | players were just not on his like his |
| 1320s | wavelength the way he was able to you |
| 1322s | know really uh dissect the landscape and |
| 1324s | and put themselves in position to |
| 1325s | succeed that's why he had so many |
| 1327s | victories and that's why there was a |
| 1328s | point in time where he too was the |
| 1330s | literal best player in the world so I i' |
| 1332s | would have to go with one of those guys |
| 1334s | like and then I'd be Filthy Rich you |
| 1336s | know by by the end of that chapter so |
| 1338s | it'd be crazy that'd be nice yeah |
| 1340s | there's definitely a decent amount of |
| 1342s | earnings attached to to both Mong girl |
| 1344s | and Vivid although I I do think Mong |
| 1346s | girl might have a slight Hedge |
| 1348s | conversation but hey if we're going to |
| 1350s | base it on tournament produced results |
| 1353s | I'm going to meet you right there |
| 1355s | monster and I'd have to give a massive |
| 1357s | shout out to Prime Time Metro I think |
| 1359s | that he is someone who right alongside |
| 1362s | mongr there just kind of found new ways |
| 1366s | to kind of break through what the |
| 1368s | competitive standard was at that point |
| 1371s | in time and honestly if he had kept |
| 1373s | playing I think we would definitely |
| 1375s | still see him being able to line the top |
| 1377s | of the leaderboard today and if not him |
| 1381s | I think another throwback name probably |
| 1382s | have to toss out there is z row I think |
| 1384s | that he's someone that has definitely |
| 1387s | showcased just how great he is as a |
| 1390s | competitor in terms of that flexibility |
| 1392s | aspect that I kind of uh touched on |
| 1394s | earlier and again I I think that there's |
| 1397s | a lot of ogs that you could probably sit |
| 1399s | and talk about but Z's name's got to be |
| 1402s | at the top of top of conversation there |
| 1403s | for me I was gonna say fun fact about |
| 1405s | zexo um there's this early video online |
| 1408s | kind of breaking down his play style and |
| 1410s | how far ahead he was during his time he |
| 1412s | was one of the first players to really |
| 1414s | adopt aggressive play style on na and he |
| 1417s | would um he would notoriously put a wall |
| 1419s | down in swing his pickaxe around the |
| 1422s | wall while he was box fighting players |

| 2668s | and everything is up for grabs and and |
| 2671s | prone to being kind of thrown into the |
| 2674s | mix here but it it is always I I think a |
| 2678s | lot of fun from the the commentator |
| 2680s | perspective seeing how the players kind |
| 2683s | of molded into their own takeaway and |
| 2687s | that's always something that I think is |
| 2689s | it's it's going to just depend |
| 2691s | exclusively on what's available and what |
| 2694s | how exactly the map changes as well |
| 2697s | yeah for me I mean if if I can see |
| 2699s | another set of Majors the same way we |
| 2701s | lined up this competitive track to gear |
| 2703s | you into an inperson event I'm going to |
| 2706s | be extremely happy with that um like I |
| 2708s | like I mentioned at the start I I really |
| 2710s | do mean it that we have not seen |
| 2712s | anything like that you know in the Years |
| 2714s | leading up to just this last year that's |
| 2716s | concluding right now and it was by far |
| 2718s | my favorite one and then it led to the |
| 2719s | most competitive event we could ask for |
| 2721s | in person so I'm really hoping to see |
| 2723s | The Return of FN cs's but more |
| 2725s | importantly the return of the majors |
| 2727s | right that lead up to the inperson |
| 2730s | event definitely and we're going to find |
| 2732s | out what happens very very soon I'm sure |
| 2733s | I can't wait to see exactly how that |
| 2735s | that does pan out in 2024 I can't wait |
| 2737s | to see so exciting as well before we |
| 2739s | kind of close out the show something |
| 2741s | that we've been doing in the last um the |
| 2743s | last kind of few weeks actually with our |
| 2744s | guests here on the show which has been |
| 2745s | really fun is uh each each uh year |
| 2748s | somebody's gun does a kind of community |
| 2750s | Awards as such uh it's a it's a great |
| 2752s | talking point I just I'd love you guys |
| 2753s | your thoughts on kind of what you you |
| 2755s | know your kind of you a few different |
| 2756s | kind of categories um personally uh as |
| 2759s | each of our guests has recently really |
| 2760s | enjoyed this too um so first and first |
| 2762s | things first um best player of 2023 have |
| 2764s | you got do you have a player that you |
| 2766s | would kind of like you would shat and |
| 2767s | say that that that that person has got |
| 2768s | to be the one I mean Taco who would you |
| 2770s | say is your best player in 2023 I kind |
| 2772s | of alluded to this a little bit earlier |
| 2774s | on in the show and granted everything's |
| 2776s | always going to you know be be subject |
| 2778s | to somebody else's opinion right but for |
| 2781s | me at least and from what I witnessed |
| 2783s | throughout the course of this past year |
| 2785s | I was really impressed ressed by Miro |
| 2787s | and Cooper on the na side of things and |
| 2790s | I think that those two really just made |
| 2794s | this entire chapter one to be remembered |
| 2798s | as soon as they joined forces and also I |
| 2801s | think that Meo in particular has just |
| 2803s | played such a huge part in helping with |
| 2806s | Cooper's development as a player because |
| 2809s | if you ever watch like Cooper streams |
| 2811s | for example he streams pretty regularly |
| 2814s | as well um in fact I would even say |
| 2816s | daily but Cooper legitimately is just so |
| 2820s | levelheaded there's just a certain |
| 2822s | calmness about him when he plays and I |
| 2825s | think a lot of that can definitely be |
| 2827s | credited towards the fact that he got to |
| 2829s | experience a couple of competitive |
| 2831s | Seasons with Meo on top of the global |
| 2833s | Championship because even after their |
| 2835s | initial debut at globals you have to |
| 2837s | remember these two weren't granted the |
| 2839s | finals Lobby they had to work their way |
| 2842s | through the lower bracket to find their |
| 2845s | footing into that flys lobby at the |
| 2847s | global championship and what they were |
| 2849s | able to do the 180 difference that we |
| 2852s | essentially saw between these two and |
| 2854s | just their continued development |
| 2857s | throughout the course of that Global |
| 2858s | Championship weekend it was it was |
| 2860s | definitely some impressive stuff man and |
| 2862s | I I just think that I'm really excited |
| 2864s | to see both of their Futures going |
| 2866s | forward I think I think that's it's it's |
| 2869s | a it's a great a great point to make |
| 2871s | there as well that you know they really |
| 2872s | are you know a Duo that could have set |
| 2874s | they've set such a precedent as well you |
| 2876s | can how mature they were at the the at |
| 2878s | the end of globals and the kind of the |
| 2880s | words you know thanking thanking people |
| 2883s | personal to their families and kind of |
| 2884s | saying you know I hope that you guys you |
| 2886s | players at home have that opportunity at |
| 2888s | least once to experience something so |
| 2890s | magical as well monster yeah and to |
| 2892s | double down on that I mean like you said |
| 2894s | them not making that first day gave them |
| 2895s | all the extra time to go put the little |
| 2897s | bit of experience in um because they got |
| 2900s | to play the following day right and and |
| 2901s | get a little bit more iners experience |
| 2903s | to get the Jitters out the way for |
| 2904s | finals uh but for me I'm going um Cammy |
| 2907s | seti right you can't count them out they |
| 2909s | had the fncs Invitational unlock right |
| 2912s | in the year 2022 they come in and they |
| 2913s | pull a second place here to close out |
| 2917s | the grand you know uh Global |
| 2919s | championship in person like that that's |
| 2921s | a about as good as you can get going |
| 2924s | inperson event to inperson event and |
| 2926s | just continuing the consistency and it's |
| 2928s | not just that right they have the uh the |
| 2931s | drop spot contested they had to overcome |
| 2933s | their own hurdles um going against the |
| 2935s | teams that were Landing on them and that |
| 2936s | was a great Duo by the way hailing |
| 2939s | Straight Out of Asia right everyone that |
| 2941s | made it to the global Championship stage |
| 2943s | absolutely deserve to be there and we |
| 2945s | really got to see that come to light and |
| 2947s | you have uh Cammy and seti pairing up |
| 2949s | with one another once again and just |
| 2951s | continuing their |
| 2953s | domination yeah and I think it says so |
| 2955s | much too when you think about the fact |
| 2957s | that everybody's even saying you know p |
| 2959s | g because of these two right and it's |
| 2962s | hard not to because when you watch them |
| 2964s | play it really does seem like any Lobby |
| 2967s | that they are participants to nobody can |
| 2970s | necessarily feel like they're guaranteed |
| 2971s | the victory Royale as long as those two |
| 2973s | are |
| 2974s | standing yeah at this point you you when |
| 2976s | you watch them you just know they're |
| 2978s | they're on a a wavelength together and |
| 2980s | and there's no getting off that train |
| 2981s | they are just they know exactly what to |
| 2983s | do in a given situation and their |
| 2984s | successes and their kind of accolades |
| 2986s | over recent years is so is Testament to |
| 2988s | that uh right uh quickly let's move on |
| 2990s | to play of the Year best play of the |
| 2992s | year what what jumps out you alluded to |
| 2994s | kind of like that uh Camy and setti |
| 2996s | invitation on that kind of queasy Veno |
| 2997s | play we saw last year but this year is |
| 2999s | very different um what would you say t |
| 3001s | what's been your kind of Player of the |
| 3002s | Year thus far my usually my favorite |
| 3004s | play of the year and I'm so happy about |
| 3007s | the fact that I even got to commentate |
| 3008s | this one but it was dukes's clutch 1v2 |
| 3012s | situation edgy throws himself up the |
| 3016s | Ascender and mega City gets fried |
| 3018s | immediately upon making contact with |
| 3021s | scented and polarized and the next thing |
| 3023s | you know it's just all Dukes going |
| 3027s | massive here for his Duo May and for |
| 3029s | himself even I mean a lot of pride gets |
| 3032s | involved with these types of situations |
| 3034s | especially when you're looking at it |
| 3035s | from a land environment and there was |
| 3037s | just so much pop off so much hype |
| 3040s | surrounding him in that moment and that |
| 3043s | was the moment too where I just knew |
| 3045s | like this is why Dukes has the respect |
| 3048s | that he does in that region and you know |
| 3051s | if you're if you're watching us live now |
| 3052s | as well if you're watching us you could |
| 3054s | actually see the clip there of it |
| 3055s | happening you can see see edgy going |
| 3056s | absolutely berserk at the end there as |
| 3058s | well recognizing monster that it was it |
| 3060s | was a huge clutch in an environment like |
| 3062s | that as well at globals it's it's those |
| 3063s | kind of plays that that that separate |
| 3065s | you know where you could you big priz |
| 3067s | for money but also those big moments |
| 3068s | that are are not going to be forgotten |
| 3069s | about they're gonna be remembered for a |
| 3071s | long time to come yeah definitely and I |
| 3073s | was there I felt the whole entire Arena |
| 3075s | Rumble literally including the stage |
| 3077s | that we were standing on uh but but for |
| 3079s | me I'm going I'm going acorn acorn had |
| 3081s | this incredible popup clutch to help |
| 3083s | push him through that first major and |
| 3085s | you know what he did it while his |
| 3086s | teammate was down Cen Acorn had just had |
| 3088s | an exceptional year this year alone has |
| 3091s | really solidified Acorn as the you know |
| 3093s | the veteran that he is on the na region |
| 3095s | and cold probably if there was like a |
| 3097s | rookie of the year award you know that |
| 3099s | we were going to probably give out at |
| 3101s | some point or another it' probably go to |
| 3103s | him so this Duo right here veteran uh |
| 3106s | newcomer really does mesh very well |
| 3108s | together but play that we all look back |
| 3111s | at is this moment from Acorn and it it |
| 3113s | was |
| 3114s | explosive I I I Acorn is an unbeliev I |
| 3117s | mean they're unbelievable player and I |
| 3118s | mean this is there are so many brilliant |
| 3120s | players I mean we we celebrate just a |
| 3122s | few of each week there are there are |
| 3123s | dozens you know it's just it's just |
| 3126s | brilliant to see it makes it very |
| 3127s | exciting for all of us I guess fans of |
| 3128s | the competitive space knowing exactly |
| 3130s | that what what's happened this year has |
| 3131s | been amazing but we look ahead thinking |
| 3133s | I can't wait to see exactly what happens |
| 3134s | next because there's more drama more |
| 3136s | entertainment to unfold uh right lastly |
| 3138s | um best nonu na player very quickly uh |

| 3146s | definitely been holding it down in the |
| 3148s | Asia region I mean we saw the transition |
| 3150s | from uh one of his fellow competitors |
| 3153s | swizzy moving over from Asia to compete |
| 3155s | in Europe and I think at the global |
| 3158s | Championship placing fifth there for |
| 3161s | Shalom kind of just a massive indicator |
| 3164s | towards the fact that Asia is definitely |
| 3165s | a region that we need to start keeping a |
| 3167s | lot more eyes on and a lot more tabs on |
| 3169s | for everybody else kind of watching this |
| 3172s | at home right now because I'm |
| 3173s | referencing right now on the drop spot |
| 3175s | but I'm I'm telling you that Asia region |
| 3177s | is just going to keep producing fraggers |
| 3180s | yeah and if I had to make a you know |
| 3182s | again a quick pick I'm going to |
| 3183s | represent for br I'm going to put pH Zin |
| 3186s | on the pedestal but I'm going to also |
| 3187s | throw King in the conversation again |

| 3190s | on a run for what feels like five years |

| 3200s | rounds of any High tier competition and |
| 3202s | when it comes down to BR he has his own |
| 3204s | you know backto back on the region so |
| 3207s | you got to give all the respect in the |
| 3208s | world to players like King and really |
| 3210s | just anyone that can step up and step |
| 3212s | into an off of the international you |
| 3215s | know kind of uh playing base and into |
| 3217s | that field with everyone else and still |
| 3218s | keep up yeah and I think what you guys |
