I’m the founder and controlling shareholder in Epic. Tencent is an investor in Epic alongside many others. Epic maintains strict control over all user data. Tencent does not have access to Epic user data. No outside companies have access to Epic user data. We don’t share it, sell it, or broker access to it through advertising as so many other companies do.

Fortnite hasn’t been banned in China. It’s operating in a closed beta in China while awaiting approval for a commercial release there.
