[2020] Map isn't closing when I hit the bound button on controller...

I play on PS4 an don my controller, I have custom binds. When I open the map in BR, I'm unable to close it until I hit the pause button. It's really annoying and I've become discouraged to open the map to check the storm. This problem is also occurring on my switch. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?
